drank Blackberry by Adagio Teas
52 tasting notes

I’m starting a new tea blog today & thought I would set up the mood by making some scones & brewing a pot of tea I hadn’t tried yet. Good thing I can make another pot later…

Okay, I love Adagio. I love their customer service & most of the teas I have tried. Till now…

This would be a great review if this was just a plain black tea, but sadly, it’s not. It’s supposed to have a blackberry flavor & there just isn’t enough of that flavor. Oddly enough the smell is there when you open the bag & inhale. If I hadn’t smelled it, I would never have known I was drinking blackberry tea.

I even tried adding more sugar, but it wasn’t enough to really make the blackberry flavor reach my senses.

I’m disappointed. Adagio never lets me down. I’m surprised by this one.

One criticism of Adagio for me is it’s “flavor factory”..they have a lot of “flavors”, but seem to just push it out with the same Ceylon base. Not much creativity. The Ceylon may be quality and the flavoring natural, but not put together well.
