I never expected to like this tea this much. It is actually very solid! I still hold that it is not the best replacement for almond biscotti, but it is very good nonetheless. I think that it is a bit like marzipan, but mostly it has straight up black, rose, and hints of light almond with spices. One of Teavana’s best really.

I actually have a hard time resisting something labelled dragonfruit. But the funny thing? Nothing labeled dragonfruit ever tastes like dragonfruit. I find it to be a bit bland/watery. So I’m about 80% sure that anything called dragonfruit is to strictly be exotic.
To be honest, this mostly smells like strawberry. There are lots of fun little components to this tea. It really does smell good, even if it isn’t really authentic. Once it is brewed the smell reminds me a bit of the Raspberry Riot Lemon mate; probably caused by the lemongrass (:O and btw they list lychee bits in this. I could totally get behind a really amazing lychee tea).
It finally got cool enough to sip! little dance yup! At this steep time it is mainly lemongrass and tartness; not that it is a bad thing. It is a bit fruity and I can kind of taste the strawberry. But the main flavors? Hibiscus, some kind of lemon, and lemongrass. huh. Not exactly what I was wanting or hoping for really. I expected the rose flavors to come out a bit more. If anything THIS should have been mixed with the champagne rose oolong. I am also thinking that the calypso mate would be an excellent tea to mix with this one, but alas, I have none.
Endnote: not really bad, not really good. If you’re looking for tart’n’fruity go for the Raspberry Riot. It is cheaper and has almost the exact same profile. Note that this one is also really popular (at least at the store by me)and they were just about out of it. They were actually complaining a bit about having to order more of it already.

I had a coupon for a free cuppa this one so I went and got it today. I had it iced, no sugar. This tastes a bit under steeped to me. My husband thought so too. The peach is the first thing I taste. It is followed by the strawberry and rose notes. The rose is pretty strong and very, very floral. I’m not sure I can really give this a good score because of that. I think if there was more peach I’d like it a whole lot more. Maybe I’d also like it more warm instead of chilled. It is an ok blend if you like floral teas. Otherwise stay far away.

sipdown! Finally. Although I think this is a pretty decent tea, it isn’t overwhelmingly good or anything. I drank a whole ton of it when I first purchased it and I think I got burned out. I’m lowering my score on this one just a bit. The flavor is mostly oatmeal cookies, light spice, and warmth. This tea can take a real battering heat wise and that makes it easy for people to make. :p If I got sick I’d ask for this one because of that.

Oolong, where are you?! This is pretty dang tasty. I think that it has grown on me quite a bit since yesterday. Maybe I’ve just been lacking strong, full bodied teas. I love the spices and warmth that are this one. Pretty awesome!

So this is a sample which I received with a more recent Teavana order. I read through some of the reviews and decided to pull out all the sugar I could find before brewing some. I found 3tsp. of sugar in my 1oz baggie. It seems like a ton to someone like me who never adds sugar to their teas. The amount of oolong in the blend is crushingly low. My blend was about 1/3 sugar, 1/3 mate, and 1/3 everything else. I used 3tsp. of leaf to make 16oz.
Dry and steeping this smelled mainly of cinnamon. Not exactly the same type of cinnamon in the Ayurvedic Chai, which is kind of a sweet cinnamon. Rather, this is a hot cinnamon. There were also so peppery, nutty, and citrus notes as well.
Wow! I left the room and came back and the smell permeated the whole room. It really does smell nice, but very strong. If I was just a bit more sensitive it would probably annoy me. I think I really like this one. It still somehow tastes sweetened. Maybe a few little crystals got in there. If someone blind tasted this with me I’d guess there was only herbs in this and maybe a black base. I really cannot discern the teas because the spices are so overwhelming; but I like my chai that way! I am a huge fan of overtly spicy chai teas and this one is really good. I still think the older samurai/Ayurvedic chai is better.

For a bagged gift tea this is very tasty! If I close my eyes and do some imagining it tastes a bit like raspberry sheet cake; which I love! This is a really simple black tea and is not bitter at all. It has a bit of a heavier mouth feel that I really enjoyed. A great tea if you come across it. Bonus points for also having a lovely tin. It’s not very often I find bagged teas that taste good so I’m impressed.
edit
I actually got a really great boost from the caffeine in this tea. I’m really sensitive to it in other forms (coffee/energy drinks/soda), but less so in tea. This would be a great thing to remember on study days like today.

So this tea somehow sneaked into the back corner of my cupboard. Like the other posters on here have said, this is one manly tea! I always take mine with milk just to round out the flavors a bit. The main flavors are smoky, earthy, hay, and nuttiness. I’m not 100% sure I could pick out on my own that it was hazelnut, but it is in there! A great tea for someone looking to try a blend that is something completely different. Many blends I’ve had over the past few years of tea exploration want to be beautiful, fruity, and sweet; but this one just wants to be a good cuppa. I appreciate that a lot. No frills or embellishments, just really good tea.

So I’ve had this Silk Roads tea for quite some time now. I don’t really care for whites on their own and this one is quite hay like. I’m a bit confused as to why the water looks a bit green, but it smells great. I combined these two because I felt that the Teavana blend was seriously lacking in the actual tea department.
Oh this is good! There is lots of sweetness, herbs, and more white notes this way. Together these go really well and in the future I’ll be mixing these together.

drank Citron Green by Adagio Teas

I totally forgot that I had a sample bag of this. The dry smell of the green version is much more tart/bitter lemon than the rooibos. I remember really enjoying this one, but preferring the rooibos version of the same tea. It smells really grassy today. Overall it is really tasty! There are lots of lemon/lime notes. It doesn’t taste as “fruity pebbles-ish” as the rooibos and the base is much more in the forefront. A really good Adagio tea option.
