13 Tasting Notes

Milk Oolong from TeaCuppa
Goji Pop from DAVIDsTEA
95

This is the first herbal tea that I really see as drink I want to have everyday. I like the luscious watermelon from Davids Tea, but this one has more flavour I think (but had a really low watermelon batch because the sales lady would eat them…). It’s like a liquid popsicle! I really enjoy this tea, and I’m pleased that it has rose hip and goji berries in it too! And another reviewer was right, its really a summer tea. Sweet with just an edge of tartness!

I find that it doesn’t brew well the second time, but maybe that’s just with herbal teas?

Caramel Pear from DAVIDsTEA
56

It’s gentle, makes your room smell great and it’s not too heavy. It doesn’t scream anything amazing though.

Pumpkin Chai from DAVIDsTEA
35

It’s not very pumpkin-y. This tastes like several of the other “flavored” black teas I’ve tried from Davids Tea.

Luscious Watermelon from DAVIDsTEA

It’s like you’re drinking juice! This is great fruity tea that I look forward to buying when it comes back in season! Dehydrated watermelon is amazing and its really nice in tea. My only issues with the tea is that it has a slightly tangy after taste. This could be because the sales girl admittedly told me that she ate the watermelon pieces all the time from the tin when she was working. I think I’m going to order this online and maybe I’ll have a fair amount of watermelon pieces? I only had a few in the bag that I bought (50 g).

The Earl's Garden from DAVIDsTEA
89

I really enjoyed this take on Earl Grey. It’s really fruity but has the taste of bergamot and Earl Grey that you love! I don’t usually love black teas, but this has to be one of my favourites.

Electric Lemon from DAVIDsTEA
61

I really love the smell of this tea! It’s really nice, and it’s very lemony, but I wish it had more of a ginger taste. I’m a huge ginger lover though, haha. I imagine this would be amazing for colds!

Exotica from DAVIDsTEA
Spring Morning from Teaopia
Jasmine Pearls from Teaopia

Creamy Nut Oolong from Teaopia

White Pear from Teaopia
35

I really enjoy white pear teas but I was disappointed in this one. I could hardly taste the pear and the white tea was really over powering. I expected it to be a light cup of tea but it was quite heavy for me. Maybe it was just my batch or something I’m doing wrong?

Cherry Blossom from DAVIDsTEA
99

This is my favourite cherry blossom tea I’ve tried. It’s a delicate and sweet, but not overpowering. It also doesn’t taste like soap, which is what I find other cherry blossom teas to taste like. I emailed Davids Tea asking about when this tea would return and they told me that they won’t be continuing it. I’m really upset about it and I would love to see this tea return.

My favourite tea to drink is oolong. I enjoy fruity teas, that are usually white or green and I don’t like to add any milk or sweetener.
