I love tea. And I love beer. I spent my twenties thoroughly enjoying all that beer has to offer but now that I’m into my thirties and a stay at home mom of 2 little kids and 1 big kid, I spend more time enjoying tea.
I’ve always liked tea, but didn’t know much about it until the last year or so and I’m still definitely climbing the learning curve. I don’t taste all the nuances that I read in a lot of people’s reviews, but I do know what I like and don’t like. My preferences with black tea lean towards the stronger variety like Assam and roasty flavored teas, but I really don’t have a taste for smoky teas. I love dessert teas and chai, almost always with milk and honey. As for green tea, I really love nutty & roasted green teas (hojicha, kukicha, Genmai cha), the nuttier the better. I haven’t experimented much outside of japanese green tea. I’ve just started experimenting with oolong and love the milk oolong. Not so sure about the others. I don’t really like herbal teas. I like tea in my tea but there are a few exceptions.
I don’t rate the teas very often as I find I’m not very consistent at all. If I really love one I’ll rate it, but otherwise I’ll just give my thoughts.
