Not a huge fan of this tea. It tastes like a tea I hated and put carmel in it to try an make it taste better. It has little flavor, and is nothing like I expected. I did not really taste the apple in it tasted more like their Hot Apple Cider tea than anything else.
45 Tasting Notes
Hmmm…not sure I tasted much of anything in this tea. I always sweeten my tea, so as usual I put my tsp of honey in and let it steep. The first sip all I could taste was honey! No mango, no ceylon. I have not tasted this without sweetener, but I may try it to see if that changes my mind. I also gave my boyfriend a sip without telling him my own thoughts and he said, “this tastes completely like honey”. One tsp of honey should not have overpowered this tea to the point that it was the only thing I could taste. However, even with the honey, I think this is a nice simple tea for a cool morning.
Okay, I’ve just started getting into drinking tea, and I must say I really am starting to love it. I’m not to the point where I can taste ingredients or anything like that. I’m not drinking anything unsweetened or anything flavorless because I’m not there yet. But, I must say this tea is good for a beginner such as myself. The only thing I have against this tea is the fruity taste. It’s a little strong in my opinion, but not horribly. I like the chocolaty after taste of this tea, but that part could be a little stronger. This is my first “desert tea”-not sure if that’s the correct name for this tea, but I was overall satisfied and would recommend this tea to a beginner, and will most likely be purchasing this again soon. (This is my second cup today!)
I really like this tea. It reminds me of something from my childhood that I can’t seem to place. I really like the spice mixed with the orange, and that it’s not too spicy. This is probably in my top 5 Teavana teas because it doesn’t leave an after taste. I’ll most likely be purchasing some more of this tea.
First off, this tea smelled horrible when I opened it. It smelled like dried fruit that was sitting in a cardboard box for a long time. Looking at it and knowing the ingredients inside, I thought this tea would not only smell good but taste good as well. The taste was only okay (better than the smell thank goodness!) The tea is okay at first but then it leaves an odd aftertaste in your mouth. I will finish this product up, and will not be purchasing it again.
Got this as a free sample in the mail. All I can say is I won’t be buying this tea. It is very bland. I was quite surprised because when I think of holiday teas I think spice and flavor; both of which I did not get from this tea.
Okay, putting this tea to the test right now. I’ve been having trouble getting good sleep this past week. I’m having a lot of dreams (more than normal) and I’m waking up at lot too. Not sure why though, because I can’t really think of anything that’s changed with my habits.
Anyway, with all these sleep issues this week, today was a test. I work nights, and I had to come off a night shift to work days 24 hours later. I don’t know about anyone else but I can’t make my body work like that. What I’ve noticed is I usually sleep worse the more tired I am. If I’m too sleepy I can’t get to sleep and once I finally do fall asleep I wake up two hours later, can’t go back to sleep and I feel so groggy. But, back on my night schedule (24 hours later) again tomorrow and still exhausted, but can’t sleep.
Considering I haven’t finished the cup (too hot still) I can’t review the effects of the tea as far as sleep goes, but I will say I am starting to feel a little relaxed. I’m thinking it’s because of the warm sensation. It also leaves a nice aftertaste on your tongue. Has a nice sweet touch to it that’s not overpowering at all. It’s nicely sweetened without it making me feel like I’m drinking a cup of sugar that’s going to keep me awake. I also taste a little minty flavor in this tea…which I love because minty teas are one of my favorites.
Well, I guess I’ll leave it at this; I love the taste of this tea and will be buying more just for the flavor if it doesn’t work tonight. Other than that, I’ll leave another note tomorrow on how it helped my sleep issues. Wish me luck tea lovers!!!
I recently received this tea in the mail as a sample…and I love it. I would say this is possibly my favorite tea. I was quite surprised to see the rock sugar in there, but I liked it. I sweeten all of my teas, so it was nice the sweetener was already mixed in. It was also nice because I pulled out a piece of the rock sugar and tasted it, and it had really soaked in that cinnamon taste. Very good job on this one Teavana. I will be purchasing this with my next order.
I don’t like this tea at all. I thought I would really love this honey based tea, but I don’t taste any honey. It has some odd I can’t even explain taste to it. I’ll finish my cup so I don’t waste it, but I will never buy this again.
This tea looks great and smells even better. However, it is very bland compared to its smell. The tea is very good, just not as strong as I expected it to be. I just added some rock sugar to it and it was fine. It did mix very well with the White Youthberry tea, which I enjoyed even more.
This tea is pretty good. At first I was turned off by the name “gunpowder” in it, so I purchased a sampler and found out I should have just purchased a full size container because I love the mint taste.
I had this tea one day after a long hike, not sure if it worked or not. It had a decent taste. I normally put honey in my tea, but didn’t have any on me for the hike, but it was still good. First tea I like without a sweetener.
Okay, so I am a pretty active person and I’m always doing something. I work out 3-5 days a week consistently, but I recently injured myself and am unable to get up and moving like normal, along with that I started eating a lot of foods that I shouldn’t be eating or normal foods that I could easily work off with a good 30 minute workout.
That being said, I decided since I can’t get up and workout I need to start eating healthier so I can get back to my normal weight or at least maintain where I’m at until I can start working out again. So, I decided the first step would be to detox all of this bad stuff I had been consuming and I found this tea!
This tea is great! I love the taste and I love the fact that it works. Before I purchased this tea I read from several people that it doesn’t do what it says it does. I went ahead a purchased it anyway because I figured people weren’t giving it time…and I was right. After drinking it two times a day (after dinner and before bed) for 4 days I stared noticing my body cleaning its self out more and by the fifth day I was extremely regular and feeling much better about myself.
I am finally back to myself, but I’m still going to drink this tea because it tastes really good to me. I just put in an order for a refill and can’t wait to get it in the mail!!!
I really enjoy this tea with 2 table spoons of honey. It has a nice kick to it, but not so much that I can’t take it. I think it works well too. I drink this tea hot and cold, but I think it tastes best cold. I drink it before breakfast and lunch and then after dinner every day and I can see that it is starting to work.—Two weeks in to a better/healthier lifestyle.
I like this tea, but it does not have the flavor of an apple cider tea I would expect. I first tried steeping it a little longer to see if that added more flavor, but that didn’t work either. After adding two bags to 8 oz of water and a tsp of honey it tasted great. I think they could have done a better job flavoring this tea. Maybe a little more “zing” to it to add that cider taste, so I can use only one bag instead of two.
This is my first tea from this company, and I have to say I did enjoy it. It has a very nice taste to it. I like the apple taste and the spice mixed together and that neither taste overpowers the other.
This is the first tea I ever drank. Lipton is actually the tea company that got me into drinking hot tea when my boyfriend turned me onto one of their fruity pyramid teas…and it just grew from there.
I have just brewed a cup of the tea and I must say its smell and taste are not very strong. I can slightly smell the blueberry and I’m not sure I taste any blueberries in this tea. I put a blueberry honey in it and it tastes a little better. It’s not a bad tea, just not very strong.
I really enjoy this tea, especially now that it’s getting cold outside. I purchased only one tin of this, and now I’m regretting that I didn’t buy a refill to get me through the winter since they are discontinued from their website.
I like that this tea has a nice pumpkin spice taste to it, but not too overpowering. It really makes for a great winter/fall tea. I haven’t tried it cold yet (says on the container tastes great cold), but I just can’t see this being a tea I’d even want to try cold because it’s so good hot.
This tea has a really nice taste. I was afraid the cherry would be too overpowering, but it’s not. I like that you can still taste the almond in the tea. I tried this tea both hot and cold and it was very good both ways. The nutty taste comes through a little more when it’s cold, but it’s still good. I do think it tastes better hot though.
Okay, so this tea smelled amazing when I first opened the package…and still does. But, with such a great smell I would think it would taste just as good if not better. The tea is very good, but not what I expected. I followed the directions for steeping time and the water to tea ratio and it was very bland. I put honey in it and it was fine, but I believe it should have been naturally good.
