Elijah's Leafy Cassis from Teapots & Treasures
Temple Garden from Elmwood Inn

I LOVE this tea. It smells wonderful and has pretty pink rosebuds to make it aesthetically nice as well. I like the natural sweetness of the cinnamon and it isn’t overpowering. It is a pale amber color when steeped, but not real good for multiple steepings. I’m lucky to steep twice before it’s just colored water, pretty normal for an herbal blend. Good quality tea, excellent price considering it comes in a tin to keep it fresh. Highly recommend trying if you like the herbals.

So, I am really digging this one! Dry, it blend of deep green colored leaves with fruit pieces and has an aroma of strawberries. Steeped, it has a dark amber color and still has the strawberry scent. I definitely taste the hibiscus, but the fruit flavor is faint, far from overbearing like some fruit infusions. I will be keeping this one on my shelf.

This tea is my first pu-erh…can’t say this one is a favorite. Dry tea has slivers of coconut in the pu-ehr. Smells nutty when dry, but steeps to a rich buttery flavor. I am not picking up on any coconut or cocoa notes on this one. I am not sure if I am just not a pu-ehr fan or if it is this particular one. I believe I will have to share this one who is more into this type of flavor. :)

Echinacea Brain Brew from Teapots & Treasures

I really enjoyed this tea. It is a bit fruitier than I initially imagined, but it is quite pleasant. The chocolate was very mellow and the orange is not pungent. I drank the same tea all day long and each steep was great. I was surprised by how many cups I was able to get out of about a teaspoon and a half of tea.

To my uncultured palate, each steep was fairly equal in flavor. I didn’t notice much change from cup to cup. I don’t sweeten my tea, but I did like the slight natural sweetness this blend provided. So far, it’s a lovely drink! :)

the canterbury tea from Teapots & Treasures

This is my first tasting note, so please bear with me as I try to muddle through! :)

This is certainly a pretty tea to look at. It is a black tea with a sprinkling of pretty little blue, red, and yellow flowers. The mango smell is a bit strong in the dry tea, but once steeped it is quite mellow. The first steep has very light notes of the mango, but it is principally the flavor of a nice black tea. I will add to this after I get through a few more steepings.

Bio

I can’t say I have a favorite type of tea. I like green tea, white tea, black tea, oolongs, roobios, many herbals, and blends. I am new to the scene and I like experimenting. Not really knowledgeable about what I am drinking, but I am willing to try most anything once.
