I received a sample of this tea from Angel at TeaVivre. Thank you!

This sample is about a year old. While the nugget was cooking it completely made me disinterested in drinking any tea, or hot drinks for that matter. So this one sat. I am so sad that it sat as long as it did, because it was so delicious. I spent the weekend at a friends house this weekend. Her and I took on our 5 kids all under the age of 3. It was intense, but we managed some down time to enjoy tea in the evenings. She is a oolong fan and so I brought this sample packet along to have her try. I want to sit with this one again this week to get a better feel for it, but it was remember able and made me want to buy copious amounts of this tea to make sure I never run out.

This is almost gone. It is simple and delicious. So what type of tea/tree is this?

I enjoyed some time with this tea last night. I picked it at random out of my oolong stash. I think for me I have to truly be in the mood and have time to spend with oolongs. This was amazing last night. It was a crisp raosty tea. Sometimes on my second steep with oolongs the bitterness or something in the mix is too much for me. This was perfect last night. Slight hints of roast, mixed with a fruity clean crisp flavor. Still not my favorite oolong, but it was a great tea last night.

Yesterday was intense. My brain was running 100pmh all day long and when I got home, kids in bed, husband out of the house for man night it was still running at top speeds. It was running so fast I was making myself overwhelmed. So to shut the damn thing off I decided to take 30 mins. I just sat and enjoyed this lovely tea. It did the trick! Calming, cozy and so very tasty.

This tea was a very nice medium roast oolong. The first few steeps were roasty with hints of mineral. As the leaves opened up a bit I got quite a juicy flavor from this tea. I will be honest I had a hard time detecting the cinnamon note that many others have found, but it was still a very enjoyable tea. Yum.

So I think this is the tea I am currently drinking. It maybe a similar version as I remember the note from JW saying something about being out of the Keemun, but here is a sample of something. It is good stuff! Yum yum yum yum. This is just what I needed this morning to get me going. Baked bread, with a deep hint of cacao. The teas I have tried from JW have been missing what I will call the “base” for me. They are light and airy. This one has that extra umph that is rocking my world this morning. I hope that this is the same tea that is in tin #5, because a tin worth is on its way from Beorhthraefn.

I know what you mean about too many teas being too light and airy. Love some good oomph myself!

This was the afternoon tea for me today, and to be honest I do not know what to make of it. The best words I can use to describe it today are soft. It was like it left me hanging a bit. The flavor was there. The upper range of light and fruity, but I guess I was expecting more base to really give it more of a hearty edge. I haven’t had many, if any, Dian Hong, so i think it was purely poor expectations for me. I will keep experimenting with my sample. For me I got a light sweet bread flavor out of this tea that was really smooth.

This is not what I was expecting, but that is not a bad thing. This is very very smooth. I get almost a smokey flavor, a woody note and almost cherry like flavor to this. This is way more savory than I was expecting. It is one of those snuggle in a blanket on a cold day kinda teas. I am picking up no astringency. I could definitely sip this all afternoon.

I bought some of this in one of my very first Butiki orders. I tried it once and though, meh. So it sat and it sat and it sat. I have been enjoying some flavored white tea before bed the last few weeks and thought I would give this another go. Wow, I am not sure what I was thinking the first time I tried it. This is delicious. Creamy for sure. Hints of juicy cantaloupe. This tea is also very naturally sweet. It was such a great cup last night. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. So sad that these teas are gone forever:(

After being gone from Steepster for so long while my kiddo was cooking, it is nice to be back and see some new companies making a go at blending tea. I am excited to try some of the new things out there, will just have to get my cupboard under control first.

There is very little I wouldn’t do to get this tea back. I’m so glad you fell in love with it!

Yum! I ordered a sample of this in my last H&S order in Feb. This is a nice afternoon cup. Creamy, sweet-ish. There are hints of Chocolate and coconut. I can see how the coconut could quickly take over this blend.

I received a small sample of this from QueenOfTarts, Thank you!. A&D always impresses me with their blends. This is no exception. Fruity, flavorful and a full mouth taste. A yummy morning cup.

I started drinking tea while on a 4 month long cycling trip through South America. It seemed to always be a great way to warm up when I was cold and it was always available everywhere. Mate was the big tea of choice down there and it was also a great way to get to know people. When I returned home, my sister introduced me to Teavana and this launched me into the realm of loose leaf tea.
