Immortal Springs Laoshan White from Verdant Tea

Theresa is a mean boss, but I know she is only doing her job.
We’ve been sitting in my office for hours, working on the membership roster & google group list for the Gateway St. Louis chapter of the America Harp Society. I’m chapter president (sounds important, but it’s not. Nobody else wants the job). I’ve been working on this since last Thursday, went I sent emails to every single person on either list, requesting a response to verify their contact info, confirm that they are still interested in being members, etc. I also attached dues forms, reminded them we have a tea party & adult recital this sunday, etc.
The old roster is OLD, & includes people who have passed away, moved away, & students who no longer play the harp. It’s a job I started on a year ago, got sidetracked, & never finished.

So far about 30% of the people have responded!

Meanwhile, I’ve been sipping this tea. It was sent to me some time ago as a sample in one of my Verdant Orders. It’s a nice treat, and a pleasant contrast to the Black Pearl I was drinking early. It’s creamy almond milk & tender spring greens. Lightly sweet & fresh, an invitation to Spring in a Cup!

A tea party and a recital! Too bad I don’t play the harp! (I actually played the flute for 16 years, but have fell out of practice with a full time job). Flute and harp sound awesome together, btw!

Lizzy, they do sound awesome together! I have several flute player friends that I play with on occasion. In fact, that reminds me, I have a bride that wants flute, harp, & cello. I need to call some people & set that up!

Sure, Bonnie, what the hell!
BTW, Tony & I were talking about planning our trip to visit his son. We still aren’t sure when we’re coming, but once I know, I’ll be sure & tell you! We’re gonna have a tea party together! :)
Me, you, Ms Theresa, Little Terri, & maybe even Tony!

Bio

I’m so excited to have found this community! I’m a self-employed Harpist (acoustic & electric – Originals, Classical, Rock, Jazz, etc) & Singer/Songwriter. My days & nights revolve around teaching at home, playing gigs, gardening,& fixing awesome food to eat. My schedule is different everyday, but I just go with the flow, & I sip a lot of tea!

My love of Tea began with Herbals back in the 70’s. One of my favorites was a licorice blend from House of Hezekiah, an old tea shop in Kansas City. There was also a tea with mint, rose petals, chamomile, etc called Nuclear Casual Tea.
In the 80’s I gave up caffeine, chocolate, alcohol, (& a few illicit substances…), and brewed medicinal blends & tinctures to support 4 pregnancies (all children born at home). In the 90’s my love affair with green teas began when I discovered ‘The Republic of Tea’. Their beautiful teas & packaging inspired my original song, “TeaMind”, from my CD “Zen Breakfast”. If you’d like to hear the song for free, drop by my website.

In general, I drink my teas straight, but occasionally I add a pinch of Stevia & maybe some coconut or almond milk (I’m allergic to dairy, gluten, & various other things & avoid most sweets.)

I’ve explored a variety of teas:
Whites tend to be a little bland…sorry
Oolongs are wonderful, especially Orchid & Peach! (I love anything with Peaches)
Roobios – I’m not a fan in general
Puehr – a fairly new direction for me
I’m not a huge fan of flavored teas, unless that flavor is peaches or chocolate, but I do make exceptions, & I’ll try just about anything.

And Black Tea, Oh how I love thee!!
I am on a quest for the most wonderful breakfast cup! I will find you, my Love!
