Last night I ate a bunch of Blue Diamond almond & rice crackers. That turns out to be a mistake, as I woke up with a headache & my guts have been hurting all day. I gave up grains (among other things) nearly 2 years ago, & every health issue I had has gone away since then, every ache & pain, etc. So every now I then I think, “I haven’t eaten THAT for awhile. How bad can it really be?”
It’s always a mistake. The worst one was the english muffin I had about 15 months ago. I suffered for that one. Never again.
Oh well…we live, we learn, right?
As soon as Stacy said she was working on this blend, I wanted it. The Irish Breakfast came out so good, I knew I’d love this one too. I drank a cup yesterday evening. I drank a cup today after the gig. I didn’t really think about the various tastes, I just needed to chill out & this tea became my chill out tea. The familiar rich sweetness of Taiwanese Assam, the grounding earthiness of Keemun, & a little brightness too. It’s a tasty brew & I’ll probably be more descriptive in some future post, but for now I’d say it is a very nicely balanced & blended tea, because none of the components stand out on their own, they fit together like a puzzle, creating a smooth, malty & sweet cup.
