5 Tasting Notes

Organic Pu-Erh Mini Tuo Cha from Upton Tea Imports

Crack the Mini Toucha in half, rinse with boiling water for 15 seconds pour off, let rest 1 minute, add boiling water, steep 1 min and your in for a true treat!! Robust, smooth, earthy, creamy all the above. Great first cup of the day or after a meal once you get past the funky fishy aroma
Pu-erh (Imperial Republic) from The Republic of Tea

Wow, what a great and forgiving tea, I make it “all wrong” at work in a 4 cup Mr Coffee machine, once its done dripping the water into the pot I remove it and simply pour it through a strainer into my cup. multiple infusions :-) Yes its a bit “fishy” smelling but once it hits your palate its a whole new game, well rounded, robust, creamy after taste. Good stuff!!
Formosa Tung-Ting Jade Oolong (TT86) from Upton Tea Imports

One of the better Oolongs I have had, light flavor but not “weak & hollow” somewhat “Addictive” as I find myself looking forward to the next pot ;-) Works well for an end of the night drink
Silver Rain from The Republic of Tea

I tried adjusting quantity, steep time, temperature and guess that I am not a “white tea” person, the best I got was a flat, empty wet grass taste. It may have been this tea but I think I am more of an Oolong, Pu erh, Darjeeling person. Good luck with it
All Day Breakfast from The Republic of Tea

True to it’s name this is a great “all day” tea, nice bouquet of flavors, well balanced, nothing jumps out to over power the rest of the brew. I have enjoyed this tea for several years drinking it through out an 8 hr shift at work and it never gets “boring”
