606 Tasting Notes
Sipdown!!
My husband says that I need to start declaring it from the rooftops every time I do a sip down! So… SIPDOWN! hahaha
I’ve been loving this one a lot lately. I didn’t enjoy it as much when I first got it, but as time went on and I started trying this one again, I’ve fallen in love it with it. I’m actually really sorry to see this one go ‘cause I’ve been enjoying it so much.
This is a really nice strawberry tea that has an almost creamy flavour to it too. I’m loving the brittle in it too. I really like it. It’s delicious!
I’m very sorry to see this one go. I’ll have to get more of it if it comes out again.
I had this one last night as I was fighting yet another headache… I’m so sick of headaches. Seriously. I don’t know what’s wrong with me sometimes.
Anyway, this tea has been in the cupboard for a few months now and not once have I had it. So, last night with the headache coming on, I decided I would try it and see if helped calm my headache away.
I’ll tell you what… that headache didn’t stand a chance! The smell of the tea alone started to melt the pain away and I knew that the end of the headache was in sight! After having the cup, it was gone! I don’t know what all the ingredients taste like individually, but together this tea is fabulous. It says on the package to steep for 10 mins! I did it this time, but it doesn’t need it I don’t think. It was strong. But not bitter, so that’s good.
Preparation
I like this tea, but I’m so confused by this tea as well. I love the mint, I love the coconut, but the fruit is confusing me now.
It’s quite delicious though. The more I drink it, the more I love it. I’m getting there. I think I’d get this one again maybe… I’m sure on my second tasting I’d love it even more.
Sipdown.
This is one I’m glad is done. I did really like this one when I got it, but over time I’ve slowly started to dislike it. The peach flavour is fine, but I’m glad that I"m done it… which is kind of funny ’cause this is the one tea from Teavana that I actually liked…
This is my second cup of this in like three days. It is delicious! I believe I made this one a bit weaker than I should have, but meh, it happens.
I wanted to add all the details about the region in the description of this tea as I wanted to make sure that folks knew that it had more than just one black tea. This tea has three different black teas in it and it is amazing how great they work together.
This tea is nice and smooth. It’s got a nice flavour that isn’t too overpowering. I like that this black tea seems to have some depth to it. I love the maltiness of this one and how it isn’t too much either.
I wouldn’t think twice about getting this one again. I love the tea combination that this tea offers. I really like that it has some dimension. So delicious!!!
Preparation
Oh my!
Have you ever had one of those mornings where you wake up and you’re feeling miserable from the moment you open your eyes? The problems from yesterday are back and they are ready to just attack without warning. They weigh heavily upon you and you really don’t know what to do about them?
Well, today was a morning such as that. I’m miserable from the moment I wake up and can’t seem to get my head in the game, when suddenly I decide to make myself a tea here at work.
I haven’t been at this new job all that long… almost… 3 months? I’m totally loving it and this place is just big enough that I’m still struggling to figure out everyones name. But the one girl I know not too badly, saw me making this up in one of the Davidstea filters with the drawstring. She looked at me funny asking me what it was. I told her tea… and she’s like “You brought tea from home?” I laughed. I said, “Yeah. I prefer the loose-leaf stuff” which got a weird look from her as she turned and to get the breakfast orders she had put in. She smiled and walked away shaking her head.
Those that don’t drink loose-leaf don’t get it… haha I can’t get over the quality difference, which I know I’ve said before, but seriously, it’s like comparing apples and kiwis! They are both round, but when you look deeper, you realize they are NOTHING alike! They taste so different that you can’t even compare them!
Anyway, enough of my rant. After making this tea and deciding that I would have it BLACK! (something I very rarely do with black teas) From the first sip I can feel my mood lifting! It is sweet and tasty and seems to warm just the right spot in my heart. I can feel the mood I’ve been in lifting. I’m so sad at myself for having waited so long before making myself a tea today. Shame on me! Tea needs to be the first thing I do when I start the day! haha
Anyway, it’s sweet and cinnamon-y but a lot more subtle cinnamon than say Saigon Chai. It’s got a bit of a creaminess to it, which I’m assuming is from the marshmallows. The allspice I’m definitely picking up too as that stuff is quite powerful on a good day. Today it’s just right! It makes me want to go home and bake something! I’m very thankful for this tea today. My first glass is already gone typing this review, but I’m planning to go right now and steep a second.
I’ve had this tea for a lot longer than I thought. I’ve probably had it like two years now! It’s hard to believe that it’s been that long since I first heard about and fell in love with Davidstea! When my friend introduced me to Davidstea, I really didn’t know what to expect! With flavours such as Movie night and Buttered Rum being my first couple of picks, I knew that it was going to be a fun journey. Even now coming to love the more ‘normal’ of Davidstea’s teas, has been fantastic!
Anyway, I’m a huge fan of Davids. I love the quality and the taste, I love the flavours and the customer service… it’s just a fun company.
As a side note, I’m not an employee of Davidstea, nor am I endorsed by them in anyway if that was ever a question. I just LOVE their teas! They’re so much fun and so delicious!
Anyway, I’m revisiting this one as i’ve had it a long time now and I’m starting to try to finish up some of the ones I’ve had a long time or ones that I haven’t had in a long time.
It’s just as amazing as I remember it being. I’m enjoying it so much! I need to make some iced tea out of this, for real! So yummy.
My husband has been drinking this one like water! Every time I turn around he’s making an iced tea of this one. It’s amazing. I absolutely love it too. He’s given me tastes of it as he’s made it and it always turns out delicious. I don’t think I’ve actually tried this one hot yet! haha
So far this summer 350g of this one has been bought by my husband and me. :)
I’m really not sure what to think of this one on its own. I feel like it’s okay, but not fantastic. I dunno. I added milk, no sugar to this one, which made it nice.
I didn’t like the slick on this one. It seemed really bad compared to what I’m use to. I think I’d be up to trying this one in a paper filter and seeing if that helps lessen the slick.
Anyway, I think I would add this one to another one to finish it. I’d be up to mixing it with a plain black tea. It would add to the base and lessen the sweetness.
Delicious! I added too much sugar, but I am enjoying it. I’m starting to think I like this one best really hot. It’s starting to cool and I think the hibiscus is coming out a bit more than I would have liked, but it still really good.
My hunny has saved some to make an iced tea with it tomorrow. It’s chilling in the fridge right now. I hope he enjoys it too.
