In retrospect, the tea of 2013 for me was this one. I realize that it has made me feel better every time I’ve had it. It commends focus and keeps your mind interested and curious. It fully deserves your attention. And when I drink it, it gets it.
You need to spend some time with it in order to fully appreciate and develop its potential . That’s only my opinion but I have brewed it Western style a few times only and although it is still a terrific cup, I deprived myself of so many subtleties that can only be found and achieved through gungfu brewing.
I don’t think I own one tea (incuding flavourded tea) that has so much true caramel notes to it.
It’s a gem, and as long as it’s being offered by Butiki, it will remain in my cupboard as a staple…
P.S. It well deserves a rating of 100, but Steepsters’ Smileys won’t let me go over 99!!! Bad Smiley :-(

Now, this part is only partially tea related:
Anyone who’s ever been left heart broken will relate to this Queen of the Stone Age song. Such clever lyrics, and done with such a good musical vibe to it, it makes me feel stronger instead of weaker. Here’s some of the lyrics:
I sat by the ocean, and drank a potion, baby to erase you.
Face down in the Boulevard, yet I couldn’t face you.
There ain’t no use in crying. It doesn’t change anything,
So baby what good does it do?
Imagine I’d be your one and only
Instead I’m the lonely one
You, me and a lie.
Silence is closer.
We’re passing ships in the night.
There’s nowhere to run away.
Do you know who you really are? Are you sure it’s really you?
Lies are a funny thing.
They slip through your fingertips because they never happened to you
Time wounds all the heals as we fade out of view.
Just glad I got it out of my system… my potion BTW was this tea :-)
