I’ve had this in a sample size for almost a year, almost forgot about it, then found it a couple days ago and tried it. The thing I like about this chai is I can actually taste the base tea in it ,and not just spice. As for the spices, they are balanced pretty well. I made one of my better chai lattes thus far with this.

Smells promising in the bag and on steeping, like good green tea (vegetal, woody,) yet I’m also getting a scent that reminds me of vanilla cake for some reason. Taste is pretty good, a little mild, no bitterness. Vegetal, with a faint note in the background that kind of reminds me of cinnamon. This is organic, which is always a plus. With the price, which is more reasonable than some similar teas I have tried, plus the easy drinking experience, this would be a decent daily drinker. (current upton # for this is ZG46)

This was the last tea I hadn’t experienced on my “I really want to try it” list…until now. The leaves smell really good: rich, fruity, and sweet. In fact, it smells so good I feel like leaving the container open in my room. On taste…it makes me think of an earl grey with berry notes. I’m getting a hint of sourness that reminds me of pomegranate perhaps? After making this a few more times, I greatly prefer it iced and sugared.

That sounds about right, I can see myself preferring this with some ice, maybe a little sweetener. I think I’m going to use more leaf next time as well, it was kind of light bodied the first time for me.

Brewed up strong pretty quickly. Has a classic tea taste which always makes me want to make iced tea (and that is exactly what I did with it), yet there is also some earthiness to it. This is really hitting the spot tonight after doing a ton of yard work on an unusually warm Winter day. Very rich…the taste is lingering in my mouth for some time after drinking it. The price is very reasonable as well. Worthy of a re-order for sure.

This is a great all around green tea. It is pretty complex, kind of reminds me of several different kinds of green tea all rolled into one. Smooth, buttery-esque mouthfeel.
Tasting notes: vegetal, grassy (in a good way), woody.

The first Indian green tea I have tried!
Nose – Has a mild sweet smell to it that I haven’t detected in any other green teas before.
Mouth – Mild, tastes buttery and nutty to me mostly.
Finish – Goes down pretty smoothly, not harsh at all.
The price looks pretty decent on this, I’ll probably get more next time I put in an order with this company.

It tastes like (drumroll) cantaloupe. I can taste the base more in later steepings. I have a feeling this would be awesome with some ice and maybe a little sugar, might be a perfect drink for the weather when it gets warm again.

Smells like I expect a good wuyi to smell: roasty, earthy/minerally/hot-rock-like, perhaps a little nutty. Taste is similar, plus I am getting some notes that remind me of caramel, maybe even raisin. I am getting a surprisingly mild mouthfeel considering the robust aroma. Pretty good deal on price, I’d buy it again.

I’m basically a bum with gourmet taste.
I’ve been drinking tea since I was a youngin’, as a way of relaxing before bed. I ventured out from bagged, mass produced tea when I tried some loose leaf Earl Grey at the old man’s house years back. I’m still not too proud for the occasional bagged stuff, saving my snobbery for hard to find craft beer.

I gravitate towards Chinese black-tea varieties, Japanese greens, unflavored oolongs from wherever, and the occasional “I cant sleep” type of herbal teas. I signed up so I can keep track of the teas I’ve tried, and what I want to keep in my cupboard on the regular.
