Radiance Tea House and Books has it all: wonderful tea, great food, knowledgeable staff and superb atmosphere.
Oolong fans will be both impressed and delighted with the vast selection of Taiwanese and Chinese teas available. I’m glad everyone there understands the language of tea and all speak it fluently.
A must-have: homemade Matcha Green Tea ice cream. Ginger and Red Bean ice cream are available as well. Enjoy!
The five-course afternoon tea is delightful, but sometimes a tad bit crowded. Lady Mendl’s features my favorite cake: Lady M Cake Boutique’s signature Mille Crepes (www.ladymconfections.com).
Lady Mendl’s offers a consistently good experience overall. The waitstaff is generous with the savories and will correct any oversteeped pots of tea promptly. To enjoy the tea selection, I recommend perusing their Signature Blends, e.g. Marbury Rose, Gramercy Pearl, etc.
Perfect spot for great Mariage Freres tea served French style. Mariage Freres lovers will appreciate seeing the black and gold logo displayed throughout. The rustic wooden tables upstairs and the window overlooking the street will make you forget any hustle and bustle.
The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. Yes, it is located in New York City. All patisserie will encourage you to linger longer than originally planned, so be careful. Time tends to get away from me whenever I visit.
