Vanilla Comoro from Harney & Sons
90

So the repair man came to fix our heater. It took him a couple of hours to get everything fixed (the exhaust motor needed to be replaced). An hour after he left the heat turned off… and won’t turn back on. Can you hear me beating my head against the wall? Someone is supposed to be here tomorrow morning between eight and noon to fix the fix. Thankfully one of my sweet friends brought over a couple of space heaters, so we won’t freeze tonight. Hopefully. I need tea.

I went to make tea and realized my husband had thrown away my brew basket, but since he was having the same crappy day I was I let it go, grabbed my tin of Vanilla Comoro (pyramid tea bags), and made myself a nice big mug. It’s wonderful vanilla comfort in a cup. I added a teaspoon of sugar which highlights the vanilla even more. Ah, good stuff.

Now I’m off to figure out optimum placement of space heaters when we go to bed tonight. Tomorrow will be a better day, right? Right?

Few years back, we were without power/heat for more than a week; camped out in one room at night, and I nearly choked from trying to sleep wearing a scarf and stocking hat.

Yikes! I’ll avoid the scarf, but I’m going to have to wear some sort of hat because I hate being cold. I think with the space heaters it won’t be too bad. I’m hoping everyone will be comfortable enough in their own room. I’m trying to keep the kids out of my bed because they both flail around in their sleep. It would be like a boxing match with me in the middle!

Eep! I hope you dream of lounging on a beach somewhere warm!

Bio

I am a stay-at-home mom. In my life before kids I was a photographer, and I still tend to see the world through a camera lens. This is equally thrilling and frustrating to my loved ones.

My Rating System:

100-95 = Teas I actively seek out and keep in my pantry. If you are a guest in my home chances are I will offer you one or all of these teas. Also, if/when these teas are discontinued I openly mourn their loss.

94-85 = Teas I truly like, often have in my pantry, and sometimes restock. These are my variety-is-the-spice-of-life teas.

84-75 = They’re good teas and I enjoy drinking them on occasion.

74-65 = These teas are ok, but not really my thing.

64-55 = meh.

54-45 = I will if I have no other option.

44 and below = Coffee, please.
