From the Round 3 Here’s Hoping TTB

This is a blueberry flavored herbal that I can get behind. Lots of sweet/tart blueberry flavor and very little of the woody rooibos flavor. I didn’t add milk to my cup, but I think it could be a nice addition. I might try that at another time. The rooibos flavor does come out more as the tea cools, but the berry flavor is still predominate. This is easily one of my favorite rooibos blends, and it’s definitely a keeper.

After an incredibly busy day I am finally at home and sipping on a cup of tea. Hallelujah! Even though it’s fairly late for caffeine I’m feeling like I need the boost, so I settled on a black tea, and I’m pleased as punch to have picked this one out of my “drink this first” bowl o’ teas. The taste continues to remind me of honeyed oat bread with hints of stone fruit slipping in here and there. I like the subtle natural sweetness of this tea. As the tea cools the sweetness really highlights the oat-like notes. So. Very. Yummy.

Bumping my rating up a bit. I’m a fan of this one.

From the Round 3 Here’s Hoping Tea Box

Tea of the morning. I have to admit that this tea caught me off guard. I didn’t read about it before I steeped it, but for some reason I thought it was a cherry flavored tea. Needless to say, the first sip was quite a surprise. It was a good surprise though! This tea is full of caramel and vanilla flavors along with some yummy roasty, toasty notes from the rice. This would make a better evening/dessert tea than a morning tea, but it was still very tasty.

drank Strawberry Oolong Tea by Teavivre

From the Round 3 Here’s Hoping TTB

Teavivre has some wonderful teas, and this one is no exception. The strawberry flavor is light but consistent. The oolong is buttery with a light vegetal flavor, and it pairs with the strawberry flavor in a nice way. I can see myself reaching for this when I’m in an oolong mood. Something tells me my daughter will like this one as well.

drank Coconut Oolong by Zen Tea

From the Round 3 Here’s Hoping TTB

I’ve wanted to try this tea for quite a while, so when I saw it in the ttb I was excited. This is indeed a lovely oolong. The coconut flavor doesn’t have that funky artificial taste (yay!), and it taste wonderful combined with the buttery smoothness of the oolong. I also like the floral note in this tea. It’s very delicate, and it makes this coconut oolong stand out from the others I have tried. This is another tea I’d like to serve at a tea party. For the right crowd I think this tea could be an absolute show stopper.

This is nice. The base tea had decent body and smoothness. The toffee flavor is steady throughout, but it doesn’t overpower the base tea. It’s definitely sweet, but I’m not getting the pudding flavor. Still, this is a nice, robust dessert tea.

From the Round 3 Here’s Hoping TTB

Wow… I like. This is bready and malty with a good bit of heft. This is definitely a tea to get you up and moving in the morning. Lots of strength with no bitterness or astringency. It could easily handle milk and sugar, but I drank my cup plain and found it really enjoyable. This one could easily find its way into my cupboard at a future date.

Yum! This is a great green tea with a spot on strawberry cream flavor. The clean grassy flavor of the base tea comes through and helps highlight the fruity strawberry note. I like the way the two flavors play off of each other. The creamy note is more of a feel than a flavor. This is a very smooth tea with no bitterness or sour note in the aftertaste. Definitely a fun summer tea!

drank Apricot by Harney & Sons

From the Round 3 Here’s Hoping TTB

Simple and good. The flavor is spot on apricot with a nice medium body black tea that has a slight biscuit note. I drank half of my cup unsweetened and then added sugar and cream to my cup. I enjoyed this tea both ways, and I’m thinking I’d love having this in cupboard as an afternoon tea.

Tea of the morning. This is incredibly cocoa-y today. The cocoa note is nice and dark, and then there is a bright, high citrus note followed by a touch of smoke and some honey-like sweetness at the end of the sip. Mercy all, this is some good tea. I also like that this tea has a lot of body with zero astringency. This is easily one of my favorite teas to begin the day with.

Quick side note, this is the only hot tea that my cat is curious about. Every time I make it she wants to plant her kitty nose in my mug. While I agree with her that this tea smells great it’s odd to me that she only does that with this particular tea. Now iced tea she loves. If we leave a glass of tea on the table we have to cover it so she won’t drink it!

This cracks me up about the cat.

Veronica

She does an amazing job of driving me crazy and making me laugh at the same time. :)

Cheri

That’s what cats are supposed to do.

Tealizzy

My cat likes to lick the condensation off the side of the glass of iced tea. Silly!

Lariel of Lórien

Now I want this tea and a cat.

Veronica

@Lariel – Both are wonderful!
