drank Chocolate Chai by Wegmans

I couldn’t decide between hot chocolate and tea this morning, so I chose this thinking it would be the best of both worlds. Lots of spicy chai and melted chocolate which is exactly what I was looking for.

I cold brewed this, and while it’s better – a lot better – than the hot tea it’s still not my favorite. Even cold brewed there’s some harshness at the end of the sip.

Sipping on a cup of minty chocolate goodness with zero guilt is sometimes all a girl needs to be happy. I love that the great dark chocolate flavor comes from the tea instead of an artificial flavoring, and I love the amount of peppermint used in the blend. It’s a great mix.

So. Much. Blueberry. I really enjoyed the sweetness of the berries combined with the tangy cream cheese note. There weren’t any pastry flavors that I could detect, but the great blueberry flavor more than made up for it. I hot brewed my tea and then let it cool in the fridge. Next time I’ll try cold brewing it to see how it changes the flavors.

Tea of the morning. I love the strength of this Assam, and I love the depth of the malty notes. Part of me want to stay here and drink pot after pot, but I think I’d be twitching from all of the caffeine before I even started on the second pot.

drank Earl Grey Cream by Zen Tea

This was in my cup for most of the day yesterday. I wanted to relax and play video games with my family, and this was the perfect tea to sip while getting my butt kicked in Mario Kart and while building my fortress of solitude in Minecraft.

My thoughts on this tea are the same as always. It’s an amazing EGC.

Your reviews of this tea are the reason that I wanted to check out this company. And I am glad that I did, because this tea is awesome!

Tea of the morning. I woke up wanting this tea. Oh, it’s a good one. At first there is a bread-y note and then chocolate and honey. Yeah, this is my perfect lazy Saturday morning tea.

That sounds delicious.

Steepster just ate my tasting note, so let’s try this again…

I made a pitcher of this for dinner last night, and it was a hit. The strawberry flavor is excellent, and the hint of custard is nice. Given that the empty pitcher was sitting on the table when I walked into the kitchen this moring, I think my family agrees.

I woke up this morning wanting summer. Not sure if I had some great summery dream or if I’m just tired of being cold (or both), but since summer is still a ways off I thought I’d enjoy a summery tea instead.

When I make this tea I have to baby it because it can turn into a bitter mess really fast, but when I make it properly it’s so nice. The peach flavor is fruity and juicy, and even though I don’t taste the apricot I find that I don’t miss it. This morning I added a touch of milk to my cup and thought about homemade peach ice cream and picnics. I’m not one for picnics on frozen ground, but I will be making a batch of peach ice cream this weekend. Take that, winter. :p

I’m a big fan of mint and of Darjeeling, so I was excited to try this tea. I had several cups of it over the holidays and I always thought that the mint tasted nice, but I wasn’t really picking up on the tea. This morning I paid closer attention while preparing my cup and realized that there is almost no tea in this mix. In fact, you really have to look to find any at all. Really irksome. I actually dumped the entire bag into a bowl so I could see if the tea had settled to the bottom, but no. This is a peppermint herbal sprinkled with a little bit of Darjeeling. So while the mint is tasty, I am disappointed with this tea overall. I’ve also moved this from my tea shelf to my basket of herbals because, really, that’s what this is.
