received this in my march tea swap. Just brewed it up on my break. the liquor was a light yellow green, which was unexpected but welcome as I expected the liquor to be a red color due to the pomegranate. The fact that it was not red most likely indicated that it was not full of artificial colors. It had a subtle sweet smell and a mild taste. It tasted like an oolong, but the pomegranate was there, lingering in the background. I had it with a little honey, but think I will enjoy this one more once I get back off the mountain dew (it has a way of ruining your taste buds and making everything else taste less sweet. Darn high fructose corn syrup water). Overall, glad I got to try this one, and I will drink the other packets I got, but not one I would go out of my way to drink. I am pleased with the quality of Harney and Sons so far, but like Paris much more than this.

I am on a quest to try 175 teas in the next 366 days (yay leap year!) and review them all on steepster as well as in my blog. If you would like to help me out by sending a sample or two, send me a message!

My Ratings:
90-100 My Favorites! Keep in cupboard always.
70-89 Pretty Good! Would not mind drinking, would not mind having
40-69 Various levels of drinkable, would not buy again, but if it was given to me, I’d accept it.
20-39 Might be able to choke it down, many shortcomings, trade it away!
1-19 Gross. Pour it down the sink. Flush it. Give it away. Just get rid of it.
