I LOVE this tea. Part of my winning contest prize pack from Rachel.
I was a bit leery as I’m not a rhubarb fan, but the strawberry is awesome and the rhubarb is mellow in the background. I loved the oolong as well. I did a quick rense of this then just 180 for 2.5 minutes (pretty fast and low) and it worked great. Good stuff!

Yikes,what an odd tea!
I’m generally not a black tea fan (get that out there). This one smelled and tasted strongly of chocolate and cocoa powder to me. I may have made it a bit strong (used 4 balls for about 12 oz). A tad astringent and as described bittersweet.
Thanks Stephanie for the sample!
It a good tea. I’m a huge rooibos guy and I love the taste of lemon in all teas. The lemon in this guy didn’t “wow” me but it was there. It’s a mellow evening kind of tea. I prefer my Lemon Dreams I think at night, but this guy would work in a pinch no problem.
Such a different tea.
I was sure it wasn’t my thing after a few sips. I can taste the cilantro mostly (not a bad thing I like cilantro) but the pineapple was strangely absent. So I’m sitting here looking through a couple message boards ignoring the tea for a bit when out of nowhere I taste pineapple. It had been a good half minute since I’d taken a tip and it just popped up out of the blue when I wasn’t thinking about it (so strange!).
So now that it’s cooled some and it’s got me intrigued, I’m back to it and it tastes a bit different. I can now taste a LIGHT flavoring of pineapple mixed in. The strong cilantro has mellowed a bit and the flavors seem to be getting along better.
What an interesting tea. Not sure it’s my thing but I can certainly appreciate it.

Getting late in the evening so time to see if this stuff works!
It, of course, smells like lemon and chamomile. Nothing hiding there.
It’s relaxing for sure. Nothing sharp or lasting in it. Smooth to drink. The lemon is the most distinct but it’s not “overdone”. A very tasty treat. I plan to have this tea on many a late night!
Got this in a swap with Starfevre Thanks!
Ok, I have to say that smelling this brings back a drink I have long forgotten about….TANG! It smells just like tang with the citrus orange smell….mmmmmm
In taste it reminds me slightly of the seven berry sangria in that it’s bold and in your face. Nothing subtle here. It’s a pleasant citrus taste though. Still think I’m drinking tang …
Short review on this one
They certainly smell the part, but the taste is like a poor clone of my treasured Phoenix Jasmine Pearls. A washed out, shallow flavor. It’s still easy to drink but I miss th depth I normally get with jasmine green teas.
Nutty and roasted smelling when I pour it into my cup.
I’m giving this one a “meh” grade. It’s just sort of there. I can taste/feel what seems to me like coco powder in my mouth. Caramel is lacking along with a real chocolatey flavor. I guess since Teaopia is no more I don’t have to worry about ordering more, but this one just wasn’t for me.
This is certainly a cherry smelling brew. Smells strongly of a cherry tree to me. I like it!
Hmmm….Was sure I was dead on for steep time, but wow the green tea base is bitter! It’s knocking all the other flavors out. I don’t even feel like rating this as it’s just too bitter to judge. If I had a bit more I’d try again and only let it steep 1 minute. I usually let it go two minutes for blends but it’s obviously too long for this tea.
Thanks Allie for the sample!
I LOVE strawberry (doesn’t everyone?). I’m also a fan of honeybush. Heck, I even like caramel! Match made in heaven? I say yes!
The taste is sweet (but not sickly sweet). The strawberry is there but doesn’t take over the flavor. Nice balance among the ingredients. It is (to use a technical term) Yummy.
Trying to clean up some samples tonight. No idea who sent me this but thank you whoever it was!
Ok, I’m a hiker…..we call this trail mix not tea! I opened the baggie and literally ate half my sample…it was good. Why are we bothering steeping this? It’s TRAIL MIX!
Reluctantly I didn’t eat all of it and brewed the rest up. Turns a reddish color immediately that looks pretty cool. It smells like something out of a bakery…yumm!
Subtle flavors. I can taste the apple and a bit but I’m thinking it tastes like donuts or pastries or something. Strange….
I like it honestly (which surprises me since I thought I was making a mistake not just eating it all lol). Passing grade to you Mr. Trail mix!
Got this sample from Stephanie thanks!
So the first thing I noticed as I measured out a cups worth and tossed it in my infuser was…holy crap this mix has whole pistachios! I then reached into my ingenuiTEA and snatched out one and ate it…mmmmmm!
That done, I proceeded to smell it. I get earthy and spice. Hmmm that’s different.
Ok, taste is a bit of a letdown. I can taste some spice and maybe a HINT of apple but it lacks flavor. A little bitterness to it also from the green tea. Not so appealing. I may stick with just eating the dry ingredients out of this one :)
This may very well be the only time you’ll ever see me review a bagged commercial tea. My real life friend for a decade up in Ontario sent me a big ol’ package of teas after she found out I went tea crazy. Unfortunately, I must not have relayed to her I’m a loose leaf guy because I ended up with half a dozen varieties of tea bags of different flavors /sigh
Thus, here I sit feeling obligated to TRY at least one of them once before I give this all away…..so here goes.
I’ve never tasted something so tart yet washed out at the same time. It’s like they are TRYING to pack some flavor punch in it but it’s so shallow it makes me want to laugh. And the worst part is it doesn’t even remotely taste like blueberries! It’s more of a tangy raspberry clone or something.
In honor of the $10 shipping she paid to get all this too me, I’m forcing myself to drink it all….but I am not happy about it >.<
I REALLY wanted to like this more then I did.
I think after the awesomeness that was Walter Bishop yesterday, I had my sights set too high. This blend was “good” but not great. The strawberry is much more muted. I detect another note of what I assume is the rhubarb….I don’t particularly like that in the tea. Though to be honest, I’m not a rhubarb fan in general. I’m having no problem drinking it, I just feel somewhat cheated after having a REAL strawberry honeybush yesterday.
Been drooling over this all afternoon….finally couldn’t resist anymore and tried my first cup!
First off it smells like (you guessed it)STRAWBERRIES! It also smells sweet….like candyish.
The taste makes me smile! It’s strawberry! Real tasting strawberry! And it’s got a sweetness and creaminess to it I love. I may end up licking the inside of the cup once I’m done. Man I love this stuff!
Ok this tea is frustrating me!
What is it? It’s called “White Magic” It’s labeled as a green tea on the tin. and is listed as an oolong on steepster. Ingredients: Milk Oolong Green tea. Huh? Add to that they list no steeping instructions on the tin or bag and I’m winging it here.
It’s smells woodsy with a hint of grass/hay.
Well whatever it is, I didn’t mess up the steep too badly. Mellow brew. light brown appearance. Smoooooth. I know you are supposed to sip tea but this one is smooth enough I could gulp it without issue lol. Tasted a little nutty also. I think I like it though it’s not WOWing my socks off.
Sample from yssah
Ok, I’ll keep this short and sweet. I LOVE Jasmine Dragon Pearls with an unholy passion. I can’t comprehend anyone that doesn’t love them. These guys smell jasminey in my cup and taste great! As long as I don’t let it steep too long I have nver been disappointed in any JPs from any shop or company. Maybe not 100% as good as my Ovation ones but very close….so yum!
So Allie reminded me I’d forgot about receiving her samples today. (woops! and thank you!)
Pulled this one out since it sounded strange. I’m not usually a maple fan, but I’m noticing a lot of things taste better when just in tea.
Anyway, the smell out of the bag is in your face Maple. No getting around that one.
The Taste, for me, it good. I love the taste of plain rooibos and the maple adds a kick but doesn’t overpower. Not 100% sure I’d order it myself, but I do enjoy it.
I’ve been going so crazy with flavored tea recently I just had the urge for some nice normal green tea tonight! (yeah, I know, who craves green tea at midnight?)
Anyway, big sample of this via Kasumi no Chajin (my green tea lifeline).
Smells real grassy, lighter golden liqueur.
First sip? Hmmmm….I’m not sure. I may have steeped this too short. Though that’s still much preferable to leaving it too long. No bitterness, but light on flavor. I keep going back for sip after sip trying to place the flavor. It HAS flavor (though light) but I can’t place it. It doesn’t taste grassy, or smokey, or bitter. It’s smooth and mellow with something. But damned if I can name the something.
Still trying to decide how I want to rate this guy so I’ll ramble on for a few more sentences while I brew up my 2nd steep. It does have the “shredded” leaves that I hate so much. Probably mechanically picked (blah!). Ok, final guess for me is it’s fine in a pinch but nothing to rush out and try.
Smells of sweet apple (I’d also go with the jolly rancher another reviewed mentioned).
Taste comes out a bit bland. Not much flavor getting through. Added a little sugar to see if that helped (it didn’t). Going to say this wouldn’t be one I’d consider ordering. I’ll happily finish the cup, but that’s about it.
Smells heavily of citrus.
So mid sip I’m getting a metallic taste and I’m not sure why. The end is the lemon & grapefruit. I can detect the rose in it but the strawberry is completely lost.
It didn’t “wow” me, but it’s not bad. Anxious to try the other samples I got from Nina’s for comparison.
