This tea was really tasty, I had a sample. It tasted roasted for sure, so it was good for the cool weekend we had here in PA. I see it isn’t cheap, which makes sense, as the ones that steep this well many times usually aren’t. That said, I am not totally sure I would purchase it. As good as it is, there are many I have tasted with similar “tasty roasty oolong” flavor (for lack of better adjectives in my arsenal to explain it) that are less expensive. But, I recommend people give it a try if they can.

drank Black Currant by Harney & Sons

This is really good, but be aware that it is pretty strong. I liked it cold, I was able to steep it twice if I stuck to three minute steeps. I love how currants are fruity without being sweet, it gave the tea a nice fall vibe to it. I would absolutely purchase (this was a sample).

Holy punch in the face. Even with a healthy dash of almond milk, this was certainly effective at waking me up this morning. I’ve never had any other Scottish Breakfast teas, so I can’t comment much else on the flavor, but I think I prefer Earl Grey or Chai for my morning jolt.

For me, this one was not as good as some of the others I have tried from this brand. I am not a fan of astringency unless it is super mild, and this one was a hair over what I like. It is bready, but not sweet. I think I lean towards more fruity and sweet notes, which help cut any astringency. Someone who likes a bit of a “drier” taste would probably like this a lot more.

This tastes like spinach and asparagus heads. Most sencha tastes the same to me, super vegetal and green. This is no exception. Good, but not my favorite. Adore the rich green color of the leaves, though.

I am in love with this and it is a total surprise. Normally, I prefer spicy cinnamon, almost like red hots. Upon sniffing, I thought this would be that. It is definitely not, but it is something I have never tried before. The oolong is the primary flavor and it is really deep and rich, and the present but not overwhelming cinnamon make me think of delicious baked goods. Specifically, kind of reminds me of cinnamon bread. Mostly bread, with a hint of cinnamon. Weird, huh? Weirdly delicious.

drank Chai by Harney & Sons

I love chai, so consider me totally biased.

This was delicious. It was bold and spicy, but not too spicy. Well, for me, there is no such thing as too spicy. But in this sort of summer but easing into fall weather, I am definitely drinking less cold tea and more hot, and craving the spicier flavors (and scents) for tea and candles. This to me is a perfect medium spice level chai, perfect with a dash of sweetener and almond milk.

drank Sea Breeze Green Tea by 52teas

I was surprised when I took a sip of this – I really wasn’t sure what to expect. What I got was a very fresh tasting tea that I think will be much better iced. There is supposedly cranberry in here, but I don’t taste that. I taste a mineral-y freshness and grapefruit that do not totally resemble the alcoholic drink, but do remind me of the sea. Lovely way to retain the last bits of summer even in this fall weather we are having now.

This was good, but I thought it could use a bit more flavor. It wasn’t bland by any stretch, but the fruit flavor was really just a sourish tart flavor. I think others might really love it, but to me it is just ok, because I like more bold flavors in my flavored tea.

This was alright, I received a sample of it. I wish it had been a cup of cinnamon, but mine was more a whisper of cinnamon. It was warming, and delicious to anyone who prefers lighter spice…but I like to be punched in the face with cinnamon.

Now a certified teacher, beginning my first year in third grade this fall. I have been involved in the tea world about 5 years now. In that time, I have learned so much, and am hoping to learn even more by joining the steepster community.

In my non-tea times, I am usually watching netflix while writing lesson plans, cuddling my two kitties, or trying to find new things to do in a town that is sometimes a bit limited!
