A most lovely addiction. Only issue with this tea is – I hope I get my stock replenished when it runs out ! :-) very flavourful, sweet and I love its golden yellow liquor !
The first time I tried it ( after having tried the legendary Chinese white teas like Silver Needle), it didn’t somehow live up to my first impression ! Then, I tried steeping it for 2 1/2 minutes instead of the usual 3 for most white teas and it made a difference ! I could find the subtle and sweet aroma that I am now accustomed to in most of my favourite white teas and I am glad that one of them is Korakundah – the first white tea I have ever had ( just a month ago !)
This is the Bai Mu Dan that I sourced from Chado Tea house – hear in Mumbai. The tea leaf is similar to the Bai Mu Dan my wife bought from Shanghai ( they look slightly more white) – and the taste is almost as good too :-) subtle, sweet.
Am convinced this is my all time favourite so far ! Love its sweet flavour and subtle aroma. Very close favourite is the Ceylon Golden Tips white tea ! :-)
Post lunch, sipping this divine, simple fragrant and subtle white tea – while working on the book I am writing ( listening to some Jazz ! Wynton Kelly trio) – ain’t this what life is all about ? :-)
nice, pleasant and mild green tea with the distinct fragrance of the Jasmine flower. Also love the way the tea leaves are presented – three pellets ( the three brothers !) integrated with the jasmine flower !
I was a bit vary about trying a Pu-erh tea – thinking maybe it might be too strong for me. But I found this to be quite pleasant and flavourful with the added advantage of knowing that this one is packed with health benefits ! :-)
Back to my starting point among my new but rapidly growing collection of teas – love the mild floral fragrance. very calming !
Looooove this one !! What a different fragrance ! Can’t believe this is caffeine free ! awesome option in life !
what an amazing earthy flavour ! Mate ( from the south american yerba mate tea), cocoa beans, rooibos ( the south african herbal tea), sunflower etc. make this a very healthy and interesting drink ! lovely find ! :-)
Can one of the most rare white teas be your daily morning ritual ? Why not ? :-) The more I have this tea, the more it’s full flavour and sweetness grows on me !
It just gets better and better ! Mellow, classy, subtle aroma – am in tea heaven ! :-) I need to figure out regular supply of this one !
Still loving this rare tea ! Maybe I should not get too used to it :-) As a novice, I am realising the art is in getting the brew to the right temperature to truly enjoy the magnificence of this tea !
Tried this at the Pan Asian restaurant – found it quite pleasant and sweet. Will definitely want to try it again !
Definitely one of my favourites now ! Its grown on me and I love it as much as the Silver Needle ! :-) Finding it to be subtle and even more aromatic ! ( but then I am a novice !)
If I had tasted this tea as the very first white tea in life, I may have fallen in love with it ! But having this after falling in love with the sweeter and more mellow Chinese Silver Needle and White Peony, I find this a bit harsh and reminiscent of my “un educated green tea drinking days” !
Lovely tea ! Went out of way to order this into India – you don’t get it here ! Worth the effort ! :-) Mellow, Sweet, Mild aroma – just the way a white tea should be for me !
When I saw the colour of the tea liquor ( golden yellow vs the usual subdued yellow of most premium white teas), I was not so sure I was going to enjoy this one ! Then I took a full sip – and I tasted flavour, character and its sweetness ! I couldn’t relate to its high price till this sip and many more sips followed – followed by a purchase ! I am in love :-)
This was the very first White tea that I ever had consciously ( knowing that it was white tea). I promptly went and procured some white teas for home ( authentic chinese like silver needle, etc.) Now, in contrast, I find the Korakundah ( from Nilgiri, India), not as subtle as the chinese ones – but still pleasant and enjoyable !
Being a total novice I could discern this from my current favourite – the Chinese silver needle. I found the Anji white to be aromatic and at the same time subtle. Nice :)
Simply divine tea ! Lives up to its reputation ! Too bad I have just a little bit of it ! Must get more :-)
I loooved this white tea ( being an absolute tea and definitely white tea novice !) – I felt it to be very gentle – the way I love it ! I am so glad I bought it :-)
