drank Chocolate by Adagio Teas

I love this guy for blending. One of my favorite uses: a spoonful of chocolate and a spoonful of hazelnut and BAM: instant Nutella tea. :)

You have to be really careful with this tea, I won’t front. If you’re a very exacting teasmith (unlike yours truly), you’ll probably get a perfectly decent tea from this; if you dare over-steep this, though, you’ll get a bitter and acidic tea that takes a lot of doctoring in order to find palatable. That kind of gamble isn’t my thing, which is probably why it’s a little more full than the rest of my rapidly-emptying tins in my cupboard.

Apparently, everyone has bad memories of this flavor, but I enjoyed it — at least, to the point where I’ve kind of been craving it lately. But perhaps absence makes the heart grow fonder, given that it’s been a steady year since I’ve consumed any of it? Too bad the blend isn’t still around or else I’d be able to tell you if my feelings are disingenuous or otherwise.

The adagio people have mentioned that they have had a hard time finding rose petals which go into Valentines tea (the main ingredient in this blend). I’m pretty sure that eventually they will find a solution.

drank Peppermint by Twinings

True story: this is my evening tea. Anything else and I’ll be staring at the ceiling for lord knows how many hours, you dig? Fortunately, Twinings’ peppermint possesses a strong mint flavor for ages and has a vibrancy that other peppermints lack. It’s Good Stuff, okay, and worthy of being a staple in my household.

Hello, usual breakfast tea, how are you? I consider Twinings to be my hustle-and-bustle tea, perfect for sitting in a travel mug whilst I do other things around the house. It’s soothing, it’s comfortable, and it perks me up in the morning. Bonus: there’s this delightful orange note in the background that its gentleman counterpart doesn’t possess.
