I wasn’t really aware how inexperienced I was with assams until I tried this. I really have nothing to compare it to, so I am struggling a bit with how to describe this tea. Overall it’s very smooth, and light (many black teas coat the tongue, especially when steeped for a while, but this one doesn’t at all). Honestly, there’s not much to distinguish it as far as uniqueness goes. It’s just a really nice, kind of quiet morning or afternoon tea.

I don’t have much to say about this blend, really. It’s pretty generic. I greatly prefer the Bigelow Vanilla Chai, probably just because the vanilla note really sticks out in that blend and makes it a little bit unique. This tea needs more something… more spice, more chai, more flavour in general. It’s pretty non-descript and kind of boring!
I never tend to like decaf teas (is it just me, or is there always a noticeable “decaf” taste to them?), but the other notes are fairly strong as well so it almost masks that weird flavour. Not a great tea, but it still beats herbal blends in my book.
This is a very basic, blah french vanilla blend. I much prefer any of the Bigelow vanilla teas over this. Lowering the rating since last time I drank it, I was ill and apparently it’s not as good as I remembered!
Had this for the millionth time the other day and had to write about it on here! I absolutely love this blend. It’s much spicier than the usual (Tazo, Oregon Chai) blends that places like Starbucks use. It’s just too bad it’s only served locally (Boulder, Colorado area) as far as I know. They also make an ice cream which is AMAZING (very heavy on the ginger, which normally I’m not a huge fan of, but it works in the ice cream). The concentrate is sold in local Whole Foods here, but it’s about $12 and comes in an enormous jar which there’s no way I would ever use up, so I’ve only had it in restaurants!
Pulled this out today since it REALLY feels like winter (hello, snowstorm). I still miss the original blend, which seemed much bolder/stronger, but this is nice anyway. Hopefully I can use up this box in the next couple of months so I can buy a fresh one before they disappear again!

Perfection.
Every time I drink this, it just makes me wish I had a really wonderful earl grey blend. Once I finish this box up, I’ll be on the search (not that this one was a real contender to begin with… I just had a coupon for it)!

This is my go-to upset stomach tea and wow do I have an upset stomach today. Unfortunately it wasn’t as effective as it usually is, but it did help a bit. I can’t say that I would ever drink this tea for the taste, and it didn’t help that I over-steeped it so it was extra strong today but I kind of had to force myself to drink it. Usually it’s much easier on the taste buds.

Today this turned out a tad strong even for my tastes. Perfect after I drank 1/2 of it and added some more water.

Really, there are so many mediocre earl grey blends out there… and this is one of them. I generally like Twinings, but I am definitely not impressed with this tea. Really, it seems like a cardinal sin to make a bad earl grey blend. It’s just that much more disappointing.
I got a bag of (what I’m assuming is) this from the Traveling Tea Box and it’s not bad. It wasn’t marked, so I don’t know for sure if it’s orange pekoe but it’s a black blend. Pretty generic but it does the job… I’m on my second cup of the day so I wasn’t feeling very fancy this go ‘round. I’d say it’s on par with any other basic store-bought black tea blend.
I always like this more than I’d remembered liking it (if that makes any sense)… I never look forward to drinking it but when I do, it’s actually pretty good. I’m not a big peach fan in general so I think that’s why it normally doesn’t tempt me much. It definitely has a strong peach flavour and scent but it’s not overbearing. It’s a nice change from the other flavoured black teas I tend to drink, and especially good on a cold fall day!

The more I drink this, the less I like it. I’m not sure if my bags are going stale (they’re sealed, but they’re probably a year old by now) or if my tastes have changed or what, but I’m just not as into this blend as I used to be. Kind of sad!
