I’m really getting sick of flavored green tea but this was sent to me as a sample by Lupicia in their newsletter so of course I had to try it…

This is one of the pyramid teabags, and before I read the description I could have sworn this was a melon flavored tea. This smells vaguely of alcohol, but not in a good way, a bit like a cheap wine cooler, me thinks.

As the cup cools down, the smell is dissipating. Now I am getting a bit more peach here but this combination of flavors is not really making me happy. Lupicia has a few flavored green teas I am fond of but this doesn’t seem to be one of them…

I think they need to rename this tea…:/

TeaBrat

Sure, but who would buy a tea called “Stinky Melon Wine” ? ;-)

Mercuryhime

sometimes I get sick of flavored teas. Then I drink straight teas for a while until I get an overwhelming desire for something fruity or desserty, and then I’m all over the flavors again. Nothing like variety. :)

And I’d totally be interested in a tea called Stinky Melon Wine!

Missy

haha amy you are cracking me up. :D

Except you’d have to translate it to some obscure language. This is our ‘vin melon puant’ tea, isn’t it fabulous and intriguing with it’s foreign name?

Dislikes include: bergamot, jasmine, highly tannic or bitter teas, overly judgmental and bitter people. :)

Live in San Francisco, I’m a SINK (single income, no kids) and love the urban life, but traveling out to the middle of nowhere is always fun too.

I tend to not drink things I know I will hate so a lot of my tea ratings are on the higher side. Here’s my rating system, sorta
