Tea of the morning here, it’s a sample tea packet that I got from Harney and Sons. A simple blend of assam and darjeeling sounds good to me and the dry leaf is very floral smelling.
This is definitely malty with a floral brightness from the darjeeling. I steeped mine or 5 minutes and thought that was a bit excessive since the tea got a bit bitter and muddy. this was definitely better with milk and sugar added and that seems to be the way Stanley would have liked it, according to the Harney website. I think I will try steeping the remainder of the sample for 4 minutes next time.
Not a bad breakfast tea but I do not think it is destined to be a favorite of mine.
