drank Tokyo by Harney & Sons
3235 tasting notes

Azzrian was kind enough to send me some of this to try, and she sent enough for me to try it both hot and iced! Hooray! Because I have read so much about this one and Bangkok iced, I really wanted to try it!

I made this just like hot tea, then poured it into a pitcher and refrigerated all morning. I had with my lunch which was beef taquitos and rice with petite diced tomatoes and grated cheddar on top. The iced tea was very nice! There is so much flavor that you don’t miss adding sugar at all, and iced was harder for me to get accustomed to sugarless!

I have been having so much fruity or citrusy tea this summer, that Tokyo comes across very dark and exotic. It is sweet, yes, but savory, too. It has a lot of body as well.

Thank you, Azzrian, for sharing! I still have enough to go with another meal!

Bio

I am a music teacher, tutor, and former homeschool mom (25 years!) who started drinking loose leaf tea about fourteen years ago! My daughters and I have tea every day, and we are frequently joined by my students or friends for “tea time.” Now my hubby joins us, too. His tastes have evolved from Tetley with milk and sugar to mostly unadorned greens and oolongs.

We have learned so much history, geography, and culture in this journey.

My avatar is a mole in a teacup! Long story…
