drank Caramel Matcha by Red Leaf Tea
3240 tasting notes

After guzzling the plain matcha latte with the new recipe today, I decided to try a flavored matcha latte that way. I have been putting all milk in my lattes, or just using a tiny bit of water to mix the matcha because I thought milk and water sounded gross! I really believed I needed for it to be almost exclusively milk.

I made this tonight by sifting my teaspoon of matcha into my big tumbler, shaking it with about a half cup of water, then adding another half cup water. I added four teaspoons of honey and poured in skim milk to near the top of the glass. I mixed it with my aerolatte because the honey was all sitting on bottom. Then a half cup of crushed ice from the fridge door was added.

It is shocking how fast I am slurping these things down, but it is so refreshing! I know what I will be having lots of this summer! I can’t wait to try this with some of the fruit flavors.

Bio

I am a music teacher, tutor, and former homeschool mom (25 years!) who started drinking loose leaf tea about fourteen years ago! My daughters and I have tea every day, and we are frequently joined by my students or friends for “tea time.” Now my hubby joins us, too. His tastes have evolved from Tetley with milk and sugar to mostly unadorned greens and oolongs.

We have learned so much history, geography, and culture in this journey.

My avatar is a mole in a teacup! Long story…
