drank Tower of London by Harney & Sons
3240 tasting notes

Today was the day! I FINALLY opened my one pound bag of the newly available Tower of London in LOOSE LEAF! If you haven’t tried it, it is very similar to their popular Paris blend but softer with more honey and stonefruit and less bergamot. As I drank this one today, I could easily have believed that I was sipping a very expensive French tea.

I had quite a time finding this tea at first as when I first heard of it Harney was sold out and so was every venue I tried. My sweet hubby went online secretly and googled every little tea shop he could find until at last one had it. He bought it and surprised me with a tin of the sachets, the only way it was available….until recently when I begged Mike Harney to make some loose leaf.

Mike, you did not disappoint. Thank you! Thank you! This was lovely for an early Sunday tea time with hubby. And yes, hubby LIKES this one! It is one of the few flavored teas he drinks, Vanilla Comoro and Vanilla Black by Harney and Marco Polo by Mariage Freres being the others so honored.

Preparation
205 °F / 96 °C 4 min, 15 sec

Bio

I am a music teacher, tutor, and former homeschool mom (25 years!) who started drinking loose leaf tea about fourteen years ago! My daughters and I have tea every day, and we are frequently joined by my students or friends for “tea time.” Now my hubby joins us, too. His tastes have evolved from Tetley with milk and sugar to mostly unadorned greens and oolongs.

We have learned so much history, geography, and culture in this journey.

My avatar is a mole in a teacup! Long story…
