drank Hao Ya 'B' by Harney & Sons
1816 tasting notes

This was my least favorite tea today. I liked Ginger’s Oolong best, as did all the adult guests, and Keemun Hao Ya A was second. Beside Hao Ya A, this one really lacked elegance. Give me Mao Feng over this one any day! And how sweet is this…one of the guests brought a tin of Marco Polo as a gift! Even though Ginger’s Oolong was in the big pot and there was twice as much of it, we finished it, while Hao Ya A was over half gone and B was nearly full! To be fair, I am planning to reheat the B and try it with milk and sugar to see if that improves my opinion of it.

Bio

I am a music teacher and homeschooling mom who started drinking loose leaf tea about four years ago! My daughters and I have tea every day, and we are frequently joined by my students or friends for “tea time.” Now my hubby joins us, too. His tastes have evolved from Tetley with milk and sugar to mostly unadorned greens.

We have learned so much history, geography, and culture in this journey.

My avatar is a mole in a teacup! Long story…
