I had tried Harney and Sons Black Hot Cinnamon Spice and found it too hot for me. I am ot a fan of red ots or any really strong cinnamon foods or candies, though I like cinnamon. I could drink the black version only by cutting it half and half with an unflavored black tea to reduce the spicy taste. Others proclaimed it to be sweet, super sweet, but all I tasted was heat.
I bought a sample of this green version because my oldest daughter is trying to drink green yea every day now, though she doesn’t actually like any tea, especially black.
We made a pot this morning and right away she gasped and said it was as thick and sweet as syrup. I tried mine, and there it was, that syrupy sweetness that everyone says is in the black version but I never get. Super thick, syrupy sweetness. I am primarily a black tea drinker, though leaning more and more toward oolong and green tea, but I found this far more enjoyable than the black tea version. I would still like to cut this with an unflavored green, but not to the degree I did with the black tea.
This is very good, and I can see how people could get addicted to it pretty readily.
