Holy Crap!

I’m attacking the traveling tea box (the Here’s Hoping Teabox on Steepster). This is tea number 5 for me today, but actually tea number 9 as my roommate has been attacking the box too and I’m trying what he’s trying. So, I had 3 oolongs and a black, with a handful of blacks and mate in me. I’ll probably blog about the whole experience sometime soon.

More impressively it’s only 2pm and I’ve decided to switch to decaf cuz I’m feeling hella wired!

Orange & Cream – Hmmm, it’s a decent red rooibos and I’m not a red rooibos type. It peaks out more than other Della Terra rooibos. The candy sweet orange flavoring is just like the Orange Brulee, but with creamyness from say Lemon Chiffon. Not bad, though I prefer the lemon or lime flavoring more as personal taste. Tea blend wise, pretty good – candy orange with a peak of red woodsy shavings with a delightful creamyness end of sip.

Now if you excuse me, Owly and I are going to hike up my office wall.

Lol can anyone say CAFFEINE!

Have it with a little lemon/ lime chiffon. It’s like citrus salad.

Bio

I’m a tea blogger – The Oolong Owl
www.OolongOwl.com – I do tea reviews, obsessively photograph teas with mischievous crocheted Owls and get tea drunk. I am also a crochet / knitting designer at Awkward Soul Designs.

I was raised on floral oolongs and green teas, mostly “beauty” teas. Early on as a kid, I can guzzle an entire pot of tea (or two) at a Chinese or Japanese restaurant.
These days I like adventurous and interesting tea blends. I’m fearless in trying new teas! I’m into oolong, pu’erh, white, green, black, guayusa, mate and herbals. I’m not into red rooibos but I keep buying it anyway.

The tea brand that got me started into loose leaf teas was DAVIDsTea. I used to live in Vancouver Canada and had access to their shop, however that is now limited since I moved to southern California.

However, the perks of living in the US is ultra cheap, fast shipping! Since then, my tea stash insanely expanded.

Other stuff I’m into that sneaks into my tea notes: Brazilian jiu-jitsu, metal music, drawing, painting, cooking, photography and nail polish.

BTW, my Steepster cupboard is not even close to accurate and I track my teas on a spreadsheet. Last update 512 Teas May 2015.
