Almond Indulgence (Formerly Almond Cookie) from Butiki Teas
81

A good Almond Tea is very hard to find. Most are either sick with artificial flavors or have a terrible after taste! Or both! This one is perfect! Now I must say – I had a sample of the almond cookie before and I think of the two if I had to choose just one I would go for the cookie version BUT I love this too. I know that Stacy has been blending and re-blending this mix for a while now – some people prefer one – some the other – I suggest that these become two totally separate blends! :) I know Stacy Im asking a lot lol but really they are both excellent and both different enough for people to have favorites! :)
This one here though is really very nice. Smooth, no bitter or astringent tastes, the cinnamon is very light and as TeaEqualsBliss said sits in the background and does so quite nicely. Mine is the almond indulgence version and still has this cinnamon quality. I must stress it is a very light cinnamon, not a hot one. The almond could not be any better – really perfect almond flavor – NO nasty after taste. I am quite certain this would be yummy with milk and or sugar but it is not necessary at all.
Thank you Stacy! Glad I ordered this one!

I see your point. It seems like there is a division between people who want a little cookie taste and others who want their strong almond. I would definitely consider doing 2 types of almond. To me this blend would probably be called Almond Cookie and then I would redo the Almond Indulgence so that it is a stronger purely almond flavor with no vanilla or cinnamon.

cinnamon and almond really do seem to go together!

Yeah they do Indigobloom – thanks Stacy for considering! :)

Stacy I would love it if you would make a strong almond tea without cinnamon… I don’t want cinnamon in my almond tea, just sweet almond (like marzipan!) and a great black tea base.

That sounds great Dinosara I would want that but I also want the almond cookie with the splash of cinnamon and sweetness as well. LOL I just want everything :)

Dinosara-I will probably be working on that a few months from now. I have some new flavors that have priority but I like the idea of making a purely almond tea in addition to the almond cookie type tea I’ve got now.

Most of my reviews will be “snippits” of full reviews that can be found at http://sororiteasisters.com/

I usually try to post the exact date that the full reviews will post however sometimes post dates need changed so it may not always be correct. Generally the dates are correct however.

About Me:

Most of my reviews, although not all, will be quite favorable of the tea. This is not because all tea is excellent, but more so because I generally will not waste my time on an inferior tea. If I do not care for a tea I won’t continue to drink it let alone spend time reviewing it. If you see a review by me you basically know it is a quality tea. Granted it may not suit your specific taste buds, we all like different things, but as for a tea on the whole it is a good one, from a good company.

I am a spiritual advisor by profession.
I have two “young adult” children.
Four cats and three dogs.

Some of my hobbies include gardening, essential oil therapy, natural perfumery with essential oils, and cooking.

I look for complexity overall in any tea, dimensions to the flavors.

I believe tea should evoke a feeling, thought, emotion, or attitude.

I enjoy most all oolongs, blacks, whites, and greens.

I always love to try a good yellow tea.

I favor unadulterated teas but I do have my longings for a good flavored tea now and then so I don’t rule them out by any means!

I enjoy green rooibos don not like red rooibos.
