14 Tasting Notes

Chocolate from Adagio Teas
57

Mostly just hints of chocolate in the very background; otherwise this tea is quite firmly black. It’s interesting, but not necessarily a dessert tea. I’m actually not sure where in the day it’d fall best. But tasty.

Mambo from Adagio Teas
84

Almost fruity tasting! It’s relatively unplaceable, but it’s delicious and sweet.

Peppermint from Adagio Teas
92

If your aim is to put some pure peppermint leaves in a teapot and then drink the pure delicious minty liquid that comes out, this is precisely what you want.

Mocha Nut Mate from Adagio Teas

This tea tastes like coffee! Peculiar. I actually kind of like it. Very naturally bitter, and so it does not need to steep too long.

Ooooh Darjeeling from Adagio Teas
57

A very nice tasting tea with hints both savory and sweet. I’m not very familiar with oolong teas, but this is a good one.

Earl Grey Moonlight from Adagio Teas

This is easily one of my favorite teas. The vanilla and the earl grey tastes are perfectly blended, and make for a good tea for any time of the day. I’m honestly surprised to see so many negative notices here.

It’s actually kind of strange: this tea tastes like coffee! If you like coffee, give it a try. It’s naturally bitter (not just from the steeping process), so be warned.

Jasmine Silver Needle from Adagio Teas
100

I’d never had a looseleaf white tea before, and so this piqued my curiosity. I can’t compare it to other whites, but I nonetheless love the stuff, and will probably buy more in the future. It’s got the lightest taste, and actually works very well to cleanse the palate.

Thai Chai from Adagio Teas
84

This chai’s quite good! The coconut and other spices are just barely present in the taste, but they add a lot to it. I’d personally like a little more of the classic spicy chai taste, but otherwise this is an excellent tea. Give it a sample.

Toasted Sesame from Adagio Teas
79

Quite a good one. The sesame is a nice accent to make what’s ultimately a very delicious savory tea.

Sweet Potato Pie from Adagio Teas
79

When I saw the name, I figured I had to try this one. It certainly didn’t disappoint! The flavor is a very light accent on the taste of the tea, but it’s overall a rather good taste, if not ideal for all times of day. I shared sips with two friends, neither of whom could guess the tea’s accent, but both of whom quite enjoyed it.

Golden Monkey from Adagio Teas
67

Not necessarily my cup of tea (ba doom chik) but it’s a nice, tasty number. Kind of overwhelming, actually, which is odd to say since I usually like full-bodied stuff. Perhaps the divergent tastes here are what’s confusing my palate. Good, though, if you like that sort of thing.
