Eric Gower, founder and creative director of Breakaway Matcha, lived in Japan for 16 years, where he was heavily steeped in the world of matcha. When he moved back to California, he could no longer find Japan’s highest-quality matcha anywhere, so decided to source it himself, both for his own consumption and to share with his friends and associates.
