Only tea I’ll drink with sugar. Also I used to have an old tin box when Celestial seasonings sold them in them. Someone stole it from me though :-(.

Does anyone else like to drink this only as iced tea? When I first bought some I made it hot and I couldn’t stand the taste. My next batch was made as sun tea and it was really good. Like it was a whole new taste.

This is a really excellent tea. It’s also a favorite for people who don’t normally like tea, like my dad.

I don’t normally drink fruit teas. But when I do: I prefer Wild Berry Zinger.

I think I might have developed a small tolerance to bergamot because most times normal earl greys don’t quiet satisfy my tea hunger anymore. I think someday I might just be drinking bergamot straight from the bottle. Stash really does an excellent job with this tea. It’s quality I would have expected from Twinings (normally I don’t care for Stash tea).
I don’t know how I would have graduated high school without this tea. It was my morning fuel (besides breakfast). It was my cure-all for any sickness I might have had and my favorite tea in health.
If I had to marry a tea it would be this tea.

I love how potent this tea is. Just a little bit of it can go a long away.
I always prefer a good lemon myrtle to a cup of chamomile. This also one of the few teas that sugar tastes good with.

At first I expected this tea to be very bitter, but in fact the taste is more smoky and acidic. I do enjoy the smoky taste to it. It really adds to the nice blend of black teas. Make sure you drink it straight, anything else would ruin the smoky flavor.

I bought some of this tea at a local British specialty store. I think I might have put too much (about 3 tablespoons) tea into the coffee filter when I made this (I was in a rush).
It tastes like your generic bland black tea. It’s very bitter if you care for that in a tea (a little too bitter for me). Also, it’s more of ground tea than loose leaf. It looks like someone just emptied out the ground black tea from the Typhoo bagged tea and packaged it as loose leaf tea.

I harvested some E. sinica from Arches National park (I know I’m bad) one year ago. You don’t normally need to let the tea dry that long (in fact the fresh tips taste just fine) but I wanted to see if there was a difference. In fact it still had it’s same potency.
I ground up the tips in a coffee grinder and put in about a golf-balls size worth of it into a ceramic straining cup. After steeping I enjoyed my tea while reading stuff online.
In about 5 minutes I felt an intense rush (this isn’t going to sound like an erowid post, promise) of mind-numbing energy. Not the kind of energy where you want to do things but rather when you want to just relax and try and focus. In about 30 minutes my little high was over and I started being able to focus on the current article on my screen.
Oh, and the tea tasted pretty good.

Just be careful, ephedrine can be dangerous stuff.

James

I used to drink this stuff all the time when I was a kid. One of my scout leaders pointed it out while we were hiking, and from that time forward, if there was ever any in the area (Mormon tea grows as a weed in much of the southwestern united states) I would brew a cup. I never knew about the ephedrine, and I lived to tell the tale. It’s actually quite good. You can also pick the fresh tips and suck on them, which was another thing I used to do. Not sure I’ll let my kids do the same, but I always enjoyed it.

I enjoy primarily black teas like oolong and earl grey. I also enjoy yerba mate and mormon tea for herbals.
Coffee is also good too.
