42 Tasting Notes
Finished the last of this little number this morning with a tear in my eye. On the last sip I happened to be doing some shopping on Teas Etc and found an Organic Gunpowder that was in stock, and will soon be in my mailbox. A special shout out to Will P for getting me 20% off…
The smokey flavor is just what I am looking for in the morning, or for that matter just about any time of day. I always seem to have a little more pep after a cup, even though I know there is little or no caffeine. I just hope the postman is drinking some Gunpowder tea so he can get my supply to me ASAP.
Came in with grease on my hands from removing a spline on my mower, added some sugar this time…better.
I got this one in the mail yesterday and boy was I excited. It may grow on me, but right now not very impressed. It smells and tastes like pipe tobacco. I could see however that adding some sugar or perhaps using it as a base for a blend may be better.
Just got this as a blend with Wild Orange Blossom….DANG….this is GOOD.
Very light and refreshing. Would be excellent iced as well.
The only downside…it is as pink as pink can be, several people double take when they see a guy like me drinking this stuff…..it is worth it.
I visited the great folks at my local Teavana retail outlet today at lunch. Due to the large amount of referrals I have provided them, they were generous enough to give me a free cup of this little number.
I am a big black tea fan, and this one does not dissapoint. Very similar to Black Dragon Pearls, but with a little extra wang to it. Good stuff.
Brewed this badboy up today and added just a tiny bit of sugar. The sugar is key to this one, otherwise it can be a bit earthy for me.
I was on business travel the last couple of days and somehow forgot my tea….came back to my old standby this morning and it didn’t disappoint.
Ummmm…yeah. I am on business travel and his tea happened to be in my hotel room. I was working late in the evening and decided to give it a shot. OUCH. If I steeped my jock strap from 9th grade 2-a-day football practice in creek water, I am not sure it would have been much worse.
Rockin the Sonata again this afternoon. I noticed as I get to the bottom of my current supply of Citron Sonata, that the leaves are getting much smaller, almost particle like. It seems like maybe the tea at the bottom was damaged by the leaves piled on top of it all this time. Anyone else see this? Am I off my rocker?
Fired up 4 balls today in 200 degree water for 5 mins. Tip top tea. Great morning blend to get my brain working after a weekend of yard work.
