A wonderful cup of tea for a miserable (weather wise) day.

I had this last night but steepster was having issues loading on my computer so I couldn’t log it then. I steeped the tea for 7 minutes and I found some flavor. I smelled more sweet – a little carmel-y or maybe it is toffee. I don’t know that my nose can distinguish the difference. Anyway I added milk again. This time it actually looked tea with milk whereas yesterday it looked like milk with tea. I got a little more black tea flavor and something that tasted kind of mocha-y and I am getting alittle of that carmel/toffee.
I had this tea again. This time I tired it with milk because I thought that it might help the chocolate and toffee flavors come through. Unfortunately it is still pretty weak. Perhaps I need to use more tea, although I already use more than I normally do with loose leaf. It is still a decent tea, it just doesn’t have a ton of flavor.
I had this today with cinnamon coffee creamer. I definitely like it better plain. I think the tea has enough flavor on its own without additives.
Had this this morning. It smells so delicious. I wish my whole apartment smelled like this tea. It smells rich and exactly like black tea should smell. I slightly over-steeped it but it was still pretty good, but then again anything that has caffeine tastes good at 6:30 in the morning.
This tea smells pretty strongly before it is steep. I associate the smell with green tea/grass. Unfourtanely my boyfriend associates it with fish food so now I haqve it in my head that this tea smells like a pet store.
Beyond the smell it was a pretty boring green tea. Given the description I thought the flavor would be a bit stronger but it was a very light tea.
Had this today on the way to work. I wasn’t in the mood for black tea so I decided to switch from my normal darjeeling tea. This tea isn’t great but it is quick and only costs 85 cents so it works.
It has a very week green tea flavor. I think this is because this tea is a blend of green and white tea which makes it have a lighter flavor. I personally prefer green and white tea flavored.
Sadly I got busy and my tea got cold before I could finish it but it was decent while it lasted.
Had my usual cup of this from the student center on my way to work today.
I really enjoyed this tea today. I am going to up my rating. I decided that it smells like a freshly baked cheese danish. I look the flavor of the black tea mellowed by the vanilla-y, carmel-y flavor. And with a dash of milk the creaminess really comes through. Sadly this was from an art of tea Eco pyramid sampler pack and this was 2 of 2. I think I may just order some more of this tea because it is delicious.
Decided to try this with milk today. I like it better without but it was still pretty good and gave me an energy boost before class.
I was really in the mood for green tea this morning so I got this on my way to a meeting. It was okay. It is pretty basic and very light. It never really gets a strong green tea taste, but it did solve my craving of green tea.
Had this again today. It wasn’t hot enough but it was still pretty good. Good green tea flavor with just a hint of mint.
Also I must add that I am writing this tasting note on an iPad and it is really cool. Steepster looks very nice on it.
Another tea from my sampler pack. It was pretty decent chai tea. A little bitter. The spices came through nicely and I swear I tasted something creamy or vanillay although I have no idea where that would have come from. Overall I enjoyed.
I have recently been trying to add milk to some black teas to expirement how I like it. This tea was a pretty good breakfat tea. It smelled kind sweet maybe it is the cocoa or honey. I didn’t really get the sweetness in the taste. I think it would have been a little bitter without the milk nut I definitely enjoyed it.
Another tea from my art of tea sampler. I am usually not the biggest Earl grey fan but the creme intrigued me. It smells strongly but not overwhelmingly of vanilla. I was worried that the creme wouldn’t come through but it was definitely there. I think it was enhanced by the addition of milk. It was a good cup of tea.
I got this tea today as part of a gift set that was featured on steepster. I decided to try this tea first because I definitly needed something relaxing after a day that involved a broken tea cup, an exam, a broken computer and getting locked out. Luckily this tea did it’s job. It was really delicious and smelled very relaxing. It also looked beautiful in the glass cup it came with.
P.S. Due to the aforementioned broken computer I am typing this on my iPod touch and therefore cannot include a rating until a later date.
A really pleasant black tea. This tea is very light and relaxing but also has a strong black tea flavor. It smells absolutely delicious and has a hint of something that distinguishes it from Irish & English Breakfast tea that I can’t quite put my finger on. I would definitely recommend this tea.
Had another cup of this. My second cup reminded me of sleepytime tea. I don’t know why. Maybe it is the spearmint.
I really liked this tea. It was a good green tea. The mint wasn’t very strong but the green tea flavor was definitely there. It was very refreshing.
Backlogging this from yesterday. My boyfriend brought it for me from the UK.
This smelled overpowerly of charcoal/smoke, so I was a little nervous to taste it. It turned out to be quite delicious however. It has a nice light flavor which is very earthy. It almost tastes like cedar or pine. It was a very pleasant mix of flavors.
Had this again today. Still not that impressed. I didn’t steep this cup as long though which made it taste a bit better. It was more black tea and less flavoring.
This tea was okay, but to me it tastes a bit fakey and for some reason I swear I taste a hint of coffee. I don’t know maybe it is just me. Anyway it is not the best cup of tea but it is not awful. I think It might make a good latte.
I got this with my republic of tea catalogue an I have a cold so I thought this would be a perfect thing to help me feel better.
I am usually not the biggest fan of honey so I was a little skeptical but this tea was very delicious. It was very smooth and balanced. No one flavor over powered the tea. I really enjoyed it and would definitely recommend it.
This tea is okay. It is a basic bagged black tea. It wasn’t bad though. A little bitter but flavorful.
