Made a pot of this iced – it really hit the spot!!!
392 Tasting Notes
This is the tea that I brought with me to work today. I made it in my might leaf mug which for some reason makes me happy – haha. I enjoyed this pretty. It was a little more creamy/caramel-y and less watered orange juice like. I think it is because of the longer steep time. Last time I steeped it at 4 minutes in boiling water which is what is recommended. This time I steeped it in water ever water temp come out of the water cooler and steeped it for around 7-8 minutes. I am not really sure because it wasn’t precisely timed. Any way it was a good afternoon cup of tea and it paired well with my afternoon snack of honey wheat pretzels – yum :)
So I wasn’t planning on buying this this morning but I guess I was so tired that I just went into automatic mode – haha. Oh well. It was quite good. I actually brought my own mug and tea to work today which is what I was planning on having first thing in the morning, but I am here for a while longer so I am sure I will find the time to have my own tea later!
Yay my Darjeeling was back today!!! Best part of the school year!!!!
Much needed afternoon tea. I had it with milk and my chai honey. It was quite delicious!!
This is all the student center had this morning – where is my darjeeling??? I really needed the caffeine so this wasn’t bad. I must mention I steeped this for oh maybe 45 minutes an hour and it still wasn’t very strong – lol.
Had this tea this morning (okay this afternoon) before class. It was delightful as always!
Mmmm… had this tea this morning! I haven’t had this tea in a while. I have been hording the end of my sample. This cup was a little weak but still delicious!
Just had a cup of this. I steeped it for the correct amount of time today. I did forget about it for a little while though so it was a little cooler then I would have like when I drank it, but it was still good. Definitely less bitter than my last cup. I think I like other peach ginger teas better though. I wish it was as peachy as it smells and I wish there was overall more ginger. I do think that icing this might bring out the flavors a bit.
Backlogging from last night. I love this tea! It is my favorite of the zhena’s gypsy teas so far. It is so creamy and warmly spicy and just deliciously sweet! It tastes almost gooey like a fresh baked good :)
Backlogging this from yesterday morning. I was pretty yummy has a really strong raspberry smell! It is not really strong on the earl grey scent or flavor. It is more like a raspberry black tea with just a hint of earl grey in the background. I quite enjoyed it though!!!!
This smells so deliciously juicy – it is just begging to be iced!! I had it hot this morning however and I accidentally oversteeped it a bit. It was still peachy and gingery but it was a bit bitter. Not undrinkable. I am sure it will be divine when i actually steep it correctly.
I need a little mood elevator this afternoon and this seemed just the thing. It seems absolutely delicious in the bag. It’s even more fragrant as it steeps. It’s smells sweet and creamy and spicy. It smells a bit like vanilla chai from bigelow which I really enjoy. It tastes just as good as it’s smells. It tastes, creamy and spicy with hints of coconut/vanilla. It tastes a bit like art of teas Earl grey creme but with spices instead of bergamot. Definitely will enjoy the rest of this tea.
I had this tea this morning. I was in a chai mood. It wasn’t the strongest chai I have ever had, but it was certainly good. It’s yummy and spicy and a good way to start the morning.
I just had the diet version of this as a pick me up before my next class. It is not very tea-y, but it works.
This was a much needed boost to start a very long day that is not yet over. It was also the first time I used my new mighty leaf to go mug. This tea was quite delicous! It smelled very inviting and fruity in the bag. I burned my tongue like three times trying to drink it too fast. It tasted very oolongy with a hint of fruity. A nice treat for the morning. The mug worked well too the outside stayed cool which was important in today’s ridiculous heat and it kept my tea hot all the way through my first class. Looking forward to another relaxing cup of tea to wind down tonight.
I got a sampler of revolution teas from amazon and I decided to try this one first last night. First off the packing is adorable. Each tea bag has it’s own tiny little box which probably isn’t very environmentally friendly, but it does really add to the cute factor of the tea.
This tea mostly smells of roobios in the bag and when steeped it smells like roobios and molasses. I didn’t find this tea terrible like everyone else who rated it seems to of. To me the roobios overpowered the honeybush, but it tasted pretty standard. My only complaint would be that I tasted molasses instead of caramel, but it certainly wasn’t a bad cup of tea.
I thought that this tea was fitting since today is September 1st and the 1st day of classes (although I personally don’t have class – haha). Although at 91 today is anything but autumn weather.
This tea was very good. It reminded me of creamy black tea and spiced apple chai which seems to be what it was going for. I throughly enjoyed it. I love tea with spices in it and I love tea with sweetness in it so this tea was a good match for me.
Thanks for the opportunity to try this tea Rachel!!
Had this last night to quell a headache. I find this tea so relaxing. I am suprised by how much I like this tea because I really don’t think of rose as a flavor I would be in to, but this tea has completely changed my mind :-).
Mmmm… Had this with breakfast this morning with a splash of milk. So delicious!
I have really been slacking on my steepstering lately and its needs to be remedied – haha! I have been drinking tea but forgetting to log it.
First off – thanks Rachel for the opportunity to try this tea and congrats on being the steepster select today!
This tea smells a little different than normal earl grey which I like because I don’t really like earl grey but I like earl grey with additional flavors. I immediately smelled cinnamon and earl grey when the water hit the tea which intrigued me.
I had this tea with a splash of milk and I really quite enjoyed it. The earl grey flavor was mild and I can’t say that I could distinctly place the cinnamon and vanilla flavorings, but I was doing other things while drinking it. I can say that there was a certain complexity to the tea that is most likely due those flavorings. Very enjoyable cup!!!
I really needed an afternoon cup of tea today after a 2 hour cleaning marathon. This one sounded delicious! I love Moroccan Mint and this sounded like an awesome twist on that. This tea is positively splendid! It is smooth and green with just a touch of mint. It really brightened my Friday afternoon! Not that Friday afternoons don’t already have a reason to be bright – haha! But anyway this is a delightful tea. I look forward to drinking the rest of my stash of this.
Thanks for this tea Rachel!!!!
Wanted something simple with breakfast this morning and this seemed like the tea to go with. Quite enjoyable :)
I have been craving this tea lately. I had it last night with some cookies as a before bed snack. Quite delicious! Tea and cookies might be better than milk in cookies, or better yet tea with milk and cookies – haha.
