So today was a really lovely day in gay Paris! Sunny, warm, perfect spring day. Shame that I had such a massive hangover due to too much free champagne at my boyfriend’s boss’s birthday party.

That’s why this morning I made a big ol’ jug of iced rooibos with this tea! And I tell you what… amazing. It really helped cure the headache. It’s going to become a spring/summer essential, I can feel it.

I got this in my Christmas package from the States and actually, I’ve had it quite a few times but haven’t logged it yet.

Although I do feel like it’s matcha for a lazy person (I do include myself in this category only because I drink it when I wake up in the AM) it’s actually not too bad. It’s not overly bitter and the flavour is actually quite nice! The Republic of Tea blended the matcha with some other whole leaf green and actually, that’s a pretty good idea.

Erm, basically what I’m trying to say is that this is a relatively decent (and easy) green tea to make in the morning. Now I need to go finish this cuppa so I can get to work!

Hm- to me this seems like more work. Heat the water to a certain temp, let it steep, then drink. Matcha is just heat the water to a good drinking temp, dump (either eye ball or measure), wisk or drink. Or if you want cold matcha, just dump and shake.

Yeahhhh… not really though. It’s actually really easy because a) it’s bagged and b) the green isn’t anything ridiculously special and needs a higher temperature than all the other greens I have at home. Also it’s a heck of a lot cheaper than true matcha… and as a person with a very low budget (agh, to be freelance) that’s a big factor! Haha.

Been drinking a lot of this lately… but with an additive of sugar! Definitely helps smooth the oomph of the mint to a tolerable, and quite enjoyable, level.

Upping the rating because well, I really enjoy this tea now! Never thought I’d say that about Tazo… always had weird feelings about them.

Another gift from mum! Thanks mum!

MMM I LOVE THIS! This is exactly what I’ve been looking for! Sweet and smooth, the vanilla is perfect. It’s got the right amount of rusticy rooibos flavor to even out the sweetness to the right level. This is what I want before bed. I will have lovely dreams tonight!

I also brewed this in my fancy new Teavana single serving tea strainer thingy. What a great invention! I am a happy camper.

Got this (along with a few other) tea in a box my mum sent over for Christmas!

Holy crap is this tea minty. Almost numbs the tongue! I wish I would have had this a few days ago when I had a nasty flu. This would have cleared everything right up in a jiffy. It’s nice, though. Refreshing… so I guess that’s why it’s named Refresh. Would be nice mixed with a little bit of green tea and some honey!

Definitely one of my favorite cold remedies.

I received a Yorkshire Tea tin from the 1970s for Christmas from my boyfriend’s dad filled with loose leaf Yorkshire tea and cute tea stuff.

I put the rest of my box of bagged Yorkshire in with the bag of loose leaf Yorkshire… and now I’m finding myself wanting to drink Yorkshire not only because I love the tea, but because I want to open the cute tin as well!

This is exactly what I needed this morning. In fact, this is pretty much exactly what I need every morning.

I got a 2oz sample of this in the mail when I ordered some Christmas prezzies from the Kusmi website a few weeks ago. Now that it’s REALLY starting to be that time of the year (with the boyfriend’s family arriving in a few days) I decided to go ahead and give it a try.

Dry, it smells so lovely and fruity with that kick of Christmas-time spices. It’s also really beautiful, with bits of almond and what I’m assuming is orange peel.

Although once it’s steeped… it’s nice but it doesn’t pop out as a really amazing tea. It’s subtle… not nearly as spicy as it smells. You can definitely taste the fruit. It’s relatively smooth and sweet, which I find to be a given if it’s coming from Kusmi.

Um, I mean the tea is enjoyable, just not what I was expecting/am looking for.
