Even though it’s not the Christmas season (September) I got this from the Here’s Hoping TTB so I thought I’d try it. It doesn’t seem particularly Christmas-y. Fruity with a bit of vanilla, a bit of star anise. Quite pleasant but I’m really not getting the Christmas part of it.

This has a pleasantly mild anise flavor that surprised me. The other flavors are the typical fruity mix but the mild anise makes it much more interesting. I am not usually a licorice, anise, fennel fan but this was quite nice.

Mild but OK chai. Drank it with/with out milk. Nothing outstanding. I always wonder if a tea is old when I don’t get much flavor. I will withhold giving a rating.

Oh, this is lovely! The root beer scent carries through in the aroma and taste. I remember sassafras plants from my childhood going to a YWCA camp in Michigan. It brings back such good memories.

Opening the package, the scent just knocked my socks off. It is obviously fresh. This hasn’t been sitting around in a warehouse!! Rarely have I had a tea this aromatic.

I added a bit of sweetener to my cup and I’m in heaven. It has such a lovely smooth mouth feel. Almost as if there is milk in it. It does have the typical sharpness of rootbeer that I would expect. I’m really not sure If I can save smoothness and sharpness in the same paragraph but that’s the way it feels.

AKA Dwelling is offering samples of this with a promise of a review. You might want to try it! Yummy!

From the Here’s Hoping TTB.

This tea is not exactly what I was hoping for from it’s name. It is primarily a black tea with cinnamon. I taste nothing of the plum. The cinnamon does settle down after a bit but I still don’t sense any plum. But… cinnamon is supposed to be good for you, right? Not a bad tea and I’m glad I got to sample it but I won’t be buying it.

I’m enjoying a pot of Tardis while I watch the Doctor Who marathon on BBCA. The new season of DW starts in a couple days and I’m in my all-Doctor Who-all the time mode. Tomorrow I’m having lunch at the Blue Box Cafe (a local DW themed restaurant).

This tea is quite tasty. A nice fruity black. A little bergamot which makes it a bit Earl Grayish.

I’m not sure where this came from…. maybe a TTB. I’ve been drinking a lot of cold brew teas lately but I miss the “process” of making hot tea so I made this hot even though I think it would be good iced.

It made a nice cuppa for a mid-afternoon break. Nothing too exciting but still enjoyable. The peach and apricot was mostly peach. The black seemed almost more like an oolong. I wonder how long this has been sitting around.

My allergies are making me d-r-a-g my way through the day. I got out one of my favorites Yerba Maté Chocolatté! I am AWAKE!!! It always seems to have this effect and I wonder why I don’t drink everyday. I mean really!

Today I think this tea picked up a bit of mint that was in my last pot of my Breville. Oops! Of course, chocolate mint isn’t a bad thing.

I have been totally loving this as a cold brew. It is a nice mild flavor that reminds me of the cereal Popped Rice. I haven’t had the cereal in a long time so its sort of a nostalgic thing for me. I have been drinking tons of it. I am upping my score since I enjoy it even more as a cold brew.

drank Oolong Peach by Two Guys' Tea

I made this tea as a cold brew and forgot about it for TWO days. Hey, it was still good. What a miracle. Very nice peach flavor a bit of earthiness but I had sensed that when I had it previously. The earthiness does not interfer at all but it has less of an oolong taste than I would expect. Still a very lovely tea for the summer.

Iced

Retired first grade teacher. I tend to like dessert type/herbal teas as a substitute for sweet treats; flavored black teas and mates to get that energy that I am often lacking ;-p
My husband of 43 years thinks I’m nuts regarding the whole tea thing… but he bought me a Breville for Christmas, so what can I say. :-D
My other interests are reading (books go well with tea :D) and beading. I volunteer at my “old” school teaching reading and I volunteer for the blind. I am trying hard to lose weight ( I have now lost 40 lbs and I’m looking good in my skinny jeans, IMHO) I am now walking about 4.5 miles a day and I am trying to do some core work for about 30 min. 3x a week.

I have been watching Doctor Who for 33years. In case you can’t tell my avatar is two daleks drinking tea! I am always open to swapping Doctor Who books for tea. I have about 120 Doctor Who books that I am eager to send some to a fan. :D Let me know if you would like any books! I love that so many people have begun watching DW!

Also I love swaps, pm me if you’d like to do a swap.

Since I find others’ rating legends helpful, I added my own.

95-100 A once in a lifetime experience; the best there is; will keep this stocked until the cows come home

90-94 First rate; top notch; really terrific; will definitely buy more

80-89 Excellent; likely to become a favorite, will likely buy more

70-79 Very good; would enjoy again, might buy again if in the mood for this particular one or a better, similar version not available or it’s on a really good sale :-)

50-69 Good; wouldn’t pass up if offered, but probably wouldn’t buy again unless craving this particular flavor

Below 50 Meh! Wouldn’t bother drinking it again.
