drank Noël à Venise by Dammann Freres

Another one from Sil! (247)

It tastes like a creamy lemon tart! :D

slirp SLORP slirp SLORP

Hahah. We are in a race! :D

dude….i’m afraid of what missB has sent..

Haha I have a chance at pulling ahead :P

Pssst, Cavo, if you slip me Sil’s address, I’ll send her a sample of everything I own… for a price.

Don’t even think it VariaTEA……
Anna… hell i might be tempted to slip you some….fancy non north american teas? YES! oh YES!

I SHALL PREVAIL!! I did it once before and I can do it again. (Anna, how much to load her up with tea? :P)

I will begin taking offers now. Silent auction style. Shhhhh.

Nice, I was just browsing DF’s site with my mom on Skype last night and this one caught both our eyes. :)

Hahah, Anna. :P

drank Rose Blush by The Devotea
1391 tasting notes

Thank you Sil and Terri for letting me try a cup of this!

I’m not usually into rose teas but this one is nice. The floral notes aren’t too strong and they are nicely balanced against the sweet caress of vanilla.

Sipdown (248)

Sami Kelsh

Ooh, sounds gorgeous :)

Sweet caress! Ooh la la. :)

Ok. this is another one from Sil-zilla. giggles

It’s really nice! I don’t get much chocolate from it, but it’s creamy and a little sweet. It’s almost mocha-ish, instead of chocolate. Odd! But good.

this one made me drool a little from a creamy coffee like substance

drank Dolce Vita by RiverTea

I had a cup of this last night and one this morning because it was THAT close to a sipdown. Goodbye raspberry coconut tea!

Sipdown (250!)

This is another one from the big bag of Sil! I drank it while I was at work and I forgot to log it. It was good, but like Sil says, it was fairly light. I enjoyed it, but wouldn’t rush to grab more of it.

drank Sweet Helen by RiverTea
1391 tasting notes

Sipdown! (252)

So I think this is not as great as some of the other RiverTeas I’ve had, but I’m ok with that seeing as I’ve enjoyed so many of their teas.

Thanks Sil for sharing this with me!

ETA: It does taste better as it cools. Maybe this would be better if I just had it iced?

I had the same experience with this one. I had such high hopes for it too.

I drank this because I heard it was the last day of winter today and that means it should be the end of winter teas!

It was ok, but didn’t grab me. Maybe it would if I had it 3 months ago.

There’s a small part of me that thinks I should post on every tea I shared with you….just for funnies lol

Hahaha. :P
I guess I should remember to tag you in them all too so I can properly point the finger.

drank Happy Banana by RiverTea
1391 tasting notes

I ended up leaving work early because no one was at the shop and I didn’t feel like I was being useful AND I had a lot of tea work to do at home, updating my cupboard etc.

This was the first one I made when I walked in the door. It came in the paper container that takes up room so it was an obvious choice for a first sipdown.

Except that it’s herbal. Whoops.

It’s really amazingly tasty though. The banana is perfect. Like Sil said, this is like drinking liquid banana bread, and believe or not, that is a VERY good thing.

I’m so thrilled I was able to try this. I think I’m going to drink the other half later, after it chills in the fridge to see how that tastes!

ETA: It’s good iced as well. I had a few sips, then poured the rest into my daughter’s sip cup.

I’m ALMOST disappointed. Imagine the possibilities if it had been bad iced! We could have called it Sad Banana.

Haha Anna (I may have just typed “Anana”), if this were facebook, I would most definitely have “liked” your comment :P

Happy Anana says thank you!

(Fruity fact of the day: in Swedish, ‘pineapple’ is ‘ananas’.)

It is also ananas in French, isn’t it?

Oh, it’s ananas in lots of languages (It’s the Latin genus.) but SWEDE PRIDE.

oooh, I will need to try this

It was hard to save some to share……this is like making banana bread and eating it out of the oven….only it takes 3 mins not 55…

I’m happy you did! I’ll definitely have to grab some for summer!

drank Earl Grey by Nina's Paris
1391 tasting notes

This was another sample from Sil.
I don’t have much to say about it. It’s a nice EG, without too much “blergamot” and I liked it.

:) technically that’s one of your teas from our order haha i randomyl divided them up after giving you that one as the extra one

It looks like they were really generous with the samples. I was smelling them as I added everything to my cupboard and it got me planning future orders.

AHAHAHAHAH. Like I need to think about FUTURE ORDERS yet!

drank Golden Himalaya by RiverTea
1391 tasting notes

Thank you Sil!

I mean, I think. My cupboard started at 186 and now it’s up at/around 258.

Some of that, maybe 15 of it, was tea that I ordered and split with Sil, but the rest was her just being crazy and super generous and I am blown away. So, thank you. :D

Now I chose this one because it was only one cup. It’s a nice black tea, with that tannic something or whatever that I notice in Kenyan teas. It’s enjoyable though. I think there’s a little bit of golden honey in each sip, and I’m enjoying that. It’s comparable to JusTea’s Kenyan black, but not quite so strong.

This gets bitter quickly as it cools.

Tea: I just started drinking loose tea in the fall of 2012, and once I started I had to get more and more and try ALL THE TEAS. Joining Steepster made this worse/easier.

So far it seems that I prefer unflavoured black teas, although I still drink a few that are flavoured each day too. Oolongs, greens, puerhs and white teas are all very good, but I just don’t crave them as often.

Me: Ok. Random things. I like animals, I have a baby girl and a devoted bf, and … I’m a geek. I like Lord of the Rings, Sherlock, Doctor Who, Game of Thrones, Supernatural, pen&paper RPG’s, online RPG’s, video games, silly internet memes, puzzles and a bunch of others things! I taught myself to knit and I’m considering crochet but I need to make time for all these things!

1-50: Bleh.
51-64: It’s ok.
65-75: It’s good.
76-85: It’s very good. (Buy 1oz+)
86-100: Amazing. (ALWAYS re-stock)
