1770 Tasting Notes

Fun fact! If you steep this super-concentrated and then fill your cup with ice and then add milk, it is DELICIOUS.

Are you surprised? Probably not. This tea is great.

This sounds like joy. JOY.

Ooo, I have to make this tomorrow morning!

(171) Thanks VariaTEA for letting me try this one out. It’s surprisingly tasty. It’s creamy, buttery and so lemony.

I didn’t expect to actually like this one so much so I’m very grateful to have had the chance, especially since I can’t foresee placing an H&S order any time soon. (Sadly, I like the TeaG version of lemon tea much more!)

Yes. I still like this one! It’s fruity and sweet and delicious, but not quite as magical as I remembered it. Perhaps I didn’t steep it in exactly the same way. Perhaps it’s a tea for sipping in the light of the moon.

Thanks Sil for letting me try this one! (175)
It’s IS fruity; just as I was promised. I’m also tasting the tiniest bit of smoke, but it’s very delicately balanced. IT’s a nice wake-me-up cup as I struggle to take part in the day and be productive instead of surfing the internet, reading fic, and playing pokemon. (Some days, more than others, I really don’t want to be an adult!) Ha!

Here’s hoping this cup gives me the push I so sorely need!

Haha me either! Like, I should be analyzing data right now, yet here I am on Steepster.

This tea smelled so strongly of earth that I had to let it cool a bit before I was brave enough to try it. Now that it’s a nicer temperature I am enjoying the damp earthy notes I am getting from it. I think there’s a little bit of cocoa wavering in the background, as well as possibly vanilla? Interesting! I’m looking forward to steeping this again!

drank Watermelon Mint by DAVIDsTEA

I finished this one last night and am a little ambivalent towards it. I’d drink it if I had more, but I don’t know that I’d go out of my way at all to get more. It was enjoyably fruity/minty but not memorable enough to clutch onto.

This is really the perfect chocolate mint tea. It really is.

Hmmm. Carlos may be perfect in the eyes of Cecil, but sadly, not for me. Cecil can have him. :)

Although my heart is very sad about what’s happening in the show with canon-Carlos. At least he has good cell receiption? And a battery that doesn’t die? And plenty of opportunities for Science!™. (Not Biology. Not Chemistry. Science! He’s a Scientist dammit!)

Goodbye Cecil! (180) I would be sad if I never heard your sultry voice again, but not broken up if I never had this tea again. It’s good but doesn’t scream out to me. So, sorry and goodbye. I’ll have my way with Carlos next.

Tea: I just started drinking loose tea in the fall of 2012, and once I started I had to get more and more and try ALL THE TEAS. Joining Steepster made this worse/easier.

So far it seems that I prefer unflavoured black teas, although I still drink a few that are flavoured each day too. Oolongs, greens, puerhs and white teas are all very good, but I just don’t crave them as often.

Me: Ok. Random things. I like animals, I have a baby girl and a devoted bf, and … I’m a geek. I like Lord of the Rings, Sherlock, Doctor Who, Game of Thrones, Supernatural, pen&paper RPG’s, online RPG’s, video games, silly internet memes, puzzles and a bunch of others things! I taught myself to knit and I’m considering crochet but I need to make time for all these things!

1-50: Bleh.
51-64: It’s ok.
65-75: It’s good.
76-85: It’s very good. (Buy 1oz+)
86-100: Amazing. (ALWAYS re-stock)
