Sipdown! This was one from Aug of last year so it was very satisfying to finish it off before I hit the 1 year mark. It was enjoyable but I"m not in a rush to buy another big tin of it any time soon. Maybe after I’ve sipped down a lot of what I have!

Oh, wow! I went all day without tea because we went on a road trip and I was plannig to drink all the double-doubles from Timmies, and then I only ended up with one.

And it’s 10pm and this is my first cup of the day and I’m not at all upset I had to wait so long because I AM appreciating the heck out of this right now. It’s dark and rich, and maybe just a little oaky. I detect spice and chocolate notes and more. It has a slightly thicker mouthfeel that gives me ALL THE TASTES.

It’s delicious Thanks Sil!(219)

Sil

i had no tea today either..just booze.

Dexter

booze is good… :))

Dexter

booze in tea is even better…

Cavocorax

Yeah, that works! :D

Thanks VariaTEA for this one. It made a tasty latte – sweet, smooth and very buttery! I really enjoyed it! It’s a fairly mild flavour though, so I’m not sure I would buy this one on it’s own, but maybe if I split it?

So this brings me down one tea, but because VariaTEA was kind enough to drop off samples for me while she picked up her half of the silly horse tea (from A&D), I’m now at 219!

VariaTEA

219 is better than 220 :P

VariaTEA

Also, I have lots of this one if you ever want more :)

Sil

bwahahahahahaha

Cavocorax

:P Thanks! I’ll keep that in mind once I get under 200!

I’ve had this cold, and I’m drinking this warm now and I can say that this tea is not as good as Movie Night. You want weirdo-popcorn tea, drink that one. This one is much sweeter and that’s ok if it’s your thing but I wouldn’t want to restock this after I finish this cup.

I grabbed 50g of this from Steeped & Infused when they gave me a huge rebate for doing a survey and I found that this was actually the best of the ones I tried. It’s sweet, and has a neat texture to it, almost like creme brulee.

OMGsrsly

I’m gonna try this one next. :P

Love the name Steeped and Infused; this one sounds great! Let me know if you taste it again and if anything changes.

I took one look at this and decided to hold it for iced teas, so it’s my first time trying it today after cold-brewing it for 14 hours. I think I may have oversteeped it as it is just a little bit bitter, but the orange is very nice and a little bit of agave would probably make this perfect! I’ve got lots left to experiment with though!

Thank you Green Terrace for the generous samples of your teas. I was very excited to try this one based on the description.

I steeped it for 2.5 minutes at 95C and found this tea to be absolutely delicious. It has juicy fruity notes, with honey on top. I can’t wait to re-steep it. Even as the liquor cools at the end of my cup, I have to say that it is still very good with no trace of bitterness.

I was surprised to see that it’s $39.60 for 100g of tea though! Maybe I need a more fully refined palette to appreciate the depths of this tea? OTOH, that’s pretty close to what I pay for Laoshan Black. :P And this was very good tea.

Sil

4oz of LB, which is more than 100g is 3$ ish heh soo close but still cheaper heh

Green Terrace Teas

We have been taking everyone’s feedback very seriously and have reduced the price of this tea. Thank you for the review!

Sil

I need to try and get to my sample of this one tonight/tomorrow….I wanted to see how my thoughts were against yours cavo…for some reason I had thought you had the honey black first heh

Cavocorax

Thank you for listening!

When this tea works, it works SO WELL. When it doesn’t, it’s bitter and undrinkable. Because of that, I’d never buy any, but because Sil gave it to me, I am enjoying a cup now, and have enough for one cup later on. Today it’s almost perfect. I’m getting jammy strawberries and other warm fruits, and it’s only slightly bitter. I count that as a win.

Dexter

Don’t you just hate it when teas don’t behave….

QueenOfTarts

I’ve had the same experience with this tea. It’s either perfect or really, really off.

Cavocorax

It’s so disappointing! When I first had it, it was SO GOOD. I would have been very upset if I had bought a tin based on that cup!

Sil

i, thankfully didn’t buy it – my parents brought it for me. :)

I had this cup earlier today thanks to Sil!
I remember it being strong and coffee-like before, so I only steeped it for 3 minutes today and it was much milder and and very enjoyable!

Thanks Sil for reminding me about this one!

Bio

Tea: I just started drinking loose tea in the fall of 2012, and once I started I had to get more and more and try ALL THE TEAS. Joining Steepster made this worse/easier.

So far it seems that I prefer unflavoured black teas, although I still drink a few that are flavoured each day too. Oolongs, greens, puerhs and white teas are all very good, but I just don’t crave them as often.

Yet.

Me: Ok. Random things. I like animals, I have a baby girl and a devoted bf, and … I’m a geek. I like Lord of the Rings, Sherlock, Doctor Who, Game of Thrones, Supernatural, pen&paper RPG’s, online RPG’s, video games, silly internet memes, puzzles and a bunch of others things! I taught myself to knit and I’m considering crochet but I need to make time for all these things!

Ratings:
1-50: Bleh.
51-64: It’s ok.
65-75: It’s good.
76-85: It’s very good. (Buy 1oz+)
86-100: Amazing. (ALWAYS re-stock)
