drank Bolder Breakfast by The Tea Spot
1633 tasting notes

Nooooo! Steepster ate this note, and I was applying for jobs earlier today but I sorta don’t want the one after all because I think they want me to dedicate more than 9-5 to it and they have a treadmill at work, and standing desks and free (healthy) breakfasts and I’m just a lazy tea drinker who wants to focus on stuff and get everything done, not drink all the free espresso and run around in circles.

But, someone liked my 8tracks mix and it was a stranger so that makes me happy. :) Let’s see if this note sticks.

it stuck! treadmill? not at a gym? hmmmm

8tracks? Cool, can you post the link? :)

Sure. :P http://8tracks.com/cavocorax/moody-days-and-sleepless-nights
I don’t normally make mixes, so it’s just exciting whenever someone else likes them. :P

Gary Jules?! oh yeah :P

This is perfect, and it’s even better because I’m drinking it in my Tardis tea pot. :)

The bad news is that it got cold before I could finish the whole pot. :(

drank Ruby Pie by Butiki Teas
1633 tasting notes

Yes! I’ve waited more than a month to pick this up, and it was worth it.
I drank it back to back with the Strawberry Rhubarb from Baywater just so I could verify who won the Rhubarb Tea contst. It was a pretty easy decision.

(hint: THIS ONE)

Hmmm.. I had Ruby Pie earlier so this was a bad one to follow up with as it just doesn’t compare. It DOES have Strawberry, but… it’s no Ruby Pie.

Woo! I got my teas today! I had a split order with Kittenna and a few with Sil and I braved Toronto Transit to get to her place and scoop them up and meet her and her bf. I haven’t logged them all yet, but I had to start with this.

(I chose it because it had the biggest, most in my face bag. I have too many great teas here to chose from, so… why not that way?)

I feel like I wasted half my sample – I didn’t realize that I was supposed to steep this at 85C and so I dumped my poor leaves into boiling water as I would most black teas.

/0\ Ok. Never assume anything. Let’s move on.

This tastes fine by the way, but I’m not rating/reviewing until I do it “properly”.

This is one of my favourite teas of all time. The lower steep really smooths out the malted flavour and sweetens it up. :)

I meant to say lower temp steep.

drank Pumpkin Chai by DAVIDsTEA

Bah. I was disappointed with this one again. Sometimes I feel like my Celestial Seasonings tea has more flavour than this one. :( I know adding milk makes that worse, but it just feels like it needs a dash.

Sad to say, but I’m dropping my rating on this. It’s no longer tin-worthy.

Also, how did I let myself run out of Butiki’s Pumpkin tea? :(

Cause you’re silly and didn’t want to add to my order :p

Oh yeah, I totally get this. It smells amazing, but is ultimately really weak. and I add milk to everything, so I understand the inclination (besides, I think you’re right that this tea especially makes you want to add milk). I’m sad that this didn’t taste as good as it smelled.

Aaaargh. Why didn’t I? :O
Well… there’s Black Friday.

if you’re hard up, i can see if stay minds adding it to the order i haven’t paid her for yet… lol

I also like Grandma’s Pumpkin Pie from Della Terra

Amy oh – I’m going to order some of that when I finally do my DTT order!

That’s the end of this one! I knew it wouldn’t last long. This tea delivers exactly what you’d expect from the title, and I really enjoy it, even if it is straightforward. I oversteeped it a little this morning, but that just gave it a bit of cremainess that I wasn’t expecting.

I think I’d pick up a little bit more if given the chance, but I wouldn’t go too far out of my way to do so. Can’t wait to get Sil and Kittenna their samples so I can see what they think.

I’m hanging out at York University for about 5 hours today, just to explore etc., but I sure wish I’d brought more than this with me! I suppose I’ll end up getting Tim Hortons coffee since there are 3 of those on campus. :P #teatraitor

York U alumnus here. York u is neat-o. Welcome to Ontario! Is Sil organizing a party yet? I’m in :)

Yep. This has to be my favourite of the Baywater teas!

I hate logging on my phone, but we should get our Internet set up tonight!

your tea misses you…

I miss my tea!
What time are you normally home by?

uh depends on what’s going on with work but if we plan it, i can be home for a specific time. also if um i can find an “easier” day this week i could always work from home…though i make no promises on how messy my house will/won’t be haha

Hahah. Fair enough. I’m just playing it by ear with Joe so I can snag a ride. :P If I get a chance, I"ll msg you.

And, pshaw. I’m not worried about messy houses! :P Not when I have tea to distract me.

sounds good! also…i don’t care about messy houses either provided guests are forewarned. Lately i haven’t had much time to help ian out and i don’t expect him to do that, plus feed and water me, plus school and work heh :)

I finished this up today, and I’m not surprised it didn’t last me until Christmas. This time it tasted really strongly of hibiscus. Not so great.

So, this is great when it’s good, bit it’s risky.

Tea: I just started drinking loose tea in the fall of 2012, and once I started I had to get more and more and try ALL THE TEAS. Joining Steepster made this worse/easier.

So far it seems that I prefer unflavoured black teas, although I still drink a few that are flavoured each day too. Oolongs, greens, puerhs and white teas are all very good, but I just don’t crave them as often.

Me: Ok. Random things. I like animals, I have a baby girl and a devoted bf, and … I’m a geek. I like Lord of the Rings, Sherlock, Doctor Who, Game of Thrones, Supernatural, pen&paper RPG’s, online RPG’s, video games, silly internet memes, puzzles and a bunch of others things! I taught myself to knit and I’m considering crochet but I need to make time for all these things!

1-50: Bleh.
51-64: It’s ok.
65-75: It’s good.
76-85: It’s very good. (Buy 1oz+)
86-100: Amazing. (ALWAYS re-stock)
