Earl Grey Imperial from Harney & Sons
63

Relogging. Rabs knew which Earl Grey B&N SBUX Cafes use so I am transferring my tealog to the correct tea. This tealog occurred the afternoon before the previous tealog.

Alicia suggested I try making a London Fog with A&D’s Earl Grey a few days ago. Some googling revealed what this was and also that it was a popular drink at Starbucks. Yesterday I happened to be browsing the Barnes & Noble with my friend Abbi and decided to try one there when we decided we needed beverages to browse with.

I think this was the Harney & Sons tea pyramid tea bag that was used in it. I got it with 2% milk and it was quite hot but drinkable after I let it sit for an appropriate amount of time so it could steep. I left the tea bag in the entire time and I could tell the tea was strong and well-caffeinated. I could taste the earl grey (good strong black and good citrus) and the vanilla and it was creamy. A nice alternative to a coffee drink while at the B&N.

Rabs’ comment, also transferred from the incorrect tea.

Rabs I’ve only worked at 2 B&N cafes so the selection could be different at yours, but we had the Imperial EG and not the Supreme. If you’re looking for extra tea tins and are a frequent customer at a B&N cafe, then you could ask the cafe manager to have your name & phone # held so that when they empty a tea tin they could call you to pick it up (instead of throwing it out). :D

I’m also glad that you enjoyed your first London Fog :)

Thanks, Rabs. I tried some googling but I couldn’t readily find out which one B&N SBUX Cafes carried. I knew it was sachets in tins so I looked on the Harney & Sons website and narrowed it from that.

You’re welcome — glad that I could be of help! :) If anyone has B&N cafe or old school Borders cafe questions, then I’m a font of knowledge. Starbucks I only worked at for 6 months, so I just know the basics. ;)

Chrine, B & N uses extremely hot water for tea! I had some Harney and Sons green tea and I only steeped if for about 1 minute because the water was so hot!!
