I always forget that I actually like this tea and it’s not just so-so. I inhaled the first two cups with immediate resteepings. The third steep was watery but drinkable.
So in other Franklin Tea Company news, my mom gave me samples of two of the other teas she brought there when I was at her house last. I haven’t had either of them yet, but I went to look them up in Steepster to see what people had said and neither had been logged yet. So I went to the Franklin Tea Co website and neither were listed. I did notice a Hot Cinnamon tea so I googled the names of the two teas and sure enough they were Harney teas too. I’m pretty sure this is one too, but I cannot figure out which one.

This Darjeeling Goomtee is definitely good at a lower water temperature than boiling. It does seem like I always like teas more the more I get on with them.

Fruity and tart the next night before bed.

A mug late at night before bed to help me sleep.

What? Again? Yeah. Again.

Sencha. Only two steeps. I don’t know if it can go more because I usually stop drinking it halfway through the second cup. I’d been enjoying the grassy taste more lately, but still can’t drink too much of it.

Again, the next day. Also replicated the results of the previous steeping.

This Apple Honeybush is one that I always enjoy drinking more than I remember having liked it.
Backlogging.
I steeped this for less time or at a lower water temperature and ended up with a first steep that was moar vanilla and less bite and more similar to the second steep.
2nd steep: 5 min.

Another tasty late night mug.

Added to my second steep of EG and Ceylon to give it some oomph.

With EG. Again. =)

I think it’s been awhile since I’ve had this. Do I like LeafSpa’s Goomtee Darjeeling better? Or is it that I just have not very much of this one left? I need to drink them back to back and see maybe. Okay, I just looked at my tea backlog list and saw that I did. But I don’t remember. So I need to do it again.

Used as the fresh leaf added to the second steeping of my EG and Ceylon combo tea.
Backlogging.
Part of my current EG combo steep, using a ratio of half of this tea to half EG.
2nd steep: 5 min. A bit of Tiger as the fresh leaf.
Backlogging.
I think I’ve nailed my combo down for sure finally. Half EG and half Ceylon for the 1st steep. Then Tiger as the bit of fresh leaf on the 2nd steep.
2nd steep: 5 min.

Alpine Berry Herbal in my cup,
late at night I drink it up.
I’m a 28 year old pharmacist. I live with my husband and our two cats, Bin and Sakai. I love tea, coffee, reading, and learning.
I’ve drank tea all my life but recently my close friend Spautz became an educated tea drinker and started educating me. Since then I’ve tried white teas and oolong and learned that I love rooibos.
