Recent Tasting Notes
My mouth is slightly tingling from the spicy peppers I just had. I drizzled them with a tiny bit of rosemary sencha tea oil http://market.bonteavant.com/rosemary-sencha-tea-oil-AretteRosemarySenchaOil.htm which I got thanks to the promotion here. “Rosemary sencha tea oil” sounds so fancy and evokes so many images in my mind. It tastes really good and you need just a tiny bit. Finishing it all of with some jasmine tea which seems just a perfect match.
Just had a nice, fresh pasta from the farmers market + maitake mushrooms finished with a cup of Jasmine #9.
I’m quite addicted to jasmine teas. I think it’s just the perfect after dinner tea and I like the smell too. Very uplifting.
Update on the tea related design. These will be available for free to download and print on a t-shirt, tote bag, hoodie or whatever. This is a preview:

On a light background (where you could print it on any light color surface. Ex. light green, tan or whatever you like)

Not much left in the tin … Will re-order Jasmine #12 to support Adagio’s Roots Campaign helping farmers behind the tea.
Lin Chui Feng, the farmer making Jasmine #12, says: “the hardest part for jasmine pearl is jasmine flower blending. In order to get the best flower time, we must do this job in the midnight in Jul and Aug when the best time for flower blooming comes. Meanwhile we must control the temperture and time. A good quality jasmine pearl requests several time of blending so as to absorb the richest flower flavor”.
Was looking for something to drink and there was this sample from Adagio. I opened the container and the aroma wafting up woke up my senses! The hint of chocolate is what first got me. Then after brewing for 5 minutes, the taste was wonderful: rich, creamy and the hint of chocolate. Not for early morning but mid morning or (I can hardly wait) mid afternoon this is too good!!
I was in the mood for this today. I steep it for 4 minutes and find that it gives me a nice flavor that is neither too strong or bitter. Smells good and has a lovely color. Have about one cup left of the sample so I suppose I need to order a full size seeing as this is one of the only straight (non-flavored) black teas I enjoy.
