1st and 2nd Steep of the Day.
Visiting my daughter’s and reached for Tea.
This was all she had, apart from Zhena’s Raspberry Earl.
So wanted a Straight Standard High Grade Earl.
Bigelow is the way to Go.
Great Steep after 5 min. in Boiling water.

This tea is better than I remembered. Maybe it was because I forgot it was steeping and let it go for about 20 minutes. I didn’t taste the chamomile in it at all. It had a good mint flavor, but without the bite that mint often has (more like spearmint than peppermint). Tasted very refreshing, yet was calming at the same time. Prepared with stevia.
Hubby got this box of bags for himself…always makes me smile when he chooses a tea; it’s a rare and pleasant occurrence. Sticking with the recommended two minute steep yield, its mild and leans toward roasty-toasty rather than floral—definitely our household preference in an oolong. Pretty good stuff.
This is a fairly decent orange spice tea. It has a lot of orange flavor and isn’t bitter as long as you don’t steep for over 3 minutes. I really don’t care for the spices in this tea, but I generally don’t like cloves in anything. Prepared with stevia and occasionally almond milk.

Bigelow’s Raspberry Royale.
This Is a Super rich profound raspberry Flavor.
Just the Right Black Tea presence, not to overshadow the Berry.

Surprisingly, I’m not a huge Constant Comment fan, which I always associated as Bigelow’s “flagship” flavored tea. (And it’s not bad—I just don’t like the flavor combo.) Other than that, I agree…never met a Bigelow I didn’t like.
Gary and gmathis, so glad to hear you haven’t met a bigelow tea you don’t like…you only have 98 more flavors to test out :)
Happy New Year!
Valorie for Bigelow Tea
I’ve been under the weather for the past several days, so I’ve not been having my favorite teas (unless I had a lot of them to spare). I’ve also been having a lot of teas at family’s houses, but my tasting notes might be off due to congestion…
On that note, this was a fun take on the Constant Comment I’m more familiar with. The tartness seemed ratcheted up, which I’m guessing is due to the green tea. I didn’t sweeten it, but if I try this one again I’m going to give that a go.
My mother gifted us this fantastic seasonal tea that my husband and I absolutely love. We’re really disappointed that we can’t seem to find any inside Canada, but we’ll probably end up ordering some along with some of their other seasonal teas. The reason this gets such a high rating is because it’s NOT an herbal tea- it’s a mix between black and green, it’s dairy-free, good without any sugar or other additions, and that makes it plain awesome.
This tea definitely needs additions to enjoy. It was a little weak served naked. I added vanilla paste, cream, sugar, and eggnog to it. It’s enjoyable. I would of loved more eggnog flavor. It was nice. I would throw another bag of tea since added so much other junk.

Mmmm. This is my ideal dessert tea. Plain, although I keep meaning to try it with milk.
Sipping and reading Watchmen. Checked it out of my college’s library. This is one thick graphic novel.
Preparation
True. I own both the movie and the ‘novel’ – so different, but both enjoyable. Except I didn’t like the black freighter stories.
Never saw the movie, actually. I thought everyone was apparently pretty impressed with how true the movie was to the book?
I never see movies unless my friend comes over from the island and physically drags me to the theatre. I am a social recluse.
AJ,
Glad to hear that the Bigelow Vanilla Chai is being enjoyed along with a good book!
Thanks for the mention,

apparently that was the first comicbook to be awarded a “Hugo” prize for science fiction 1988. The rest of the literary world responded, “WHAT? You say that a COMICBOOK is one of the best books of the year??!!!!! WTF!”
This smells delicious. Like spiced shortbread.
It’s a very mild chai with a hint of vanilla sweetness. I think it would go very well with milk, although I didn’t add any this time around. I picked this up on my search for Stash’s Christmas Morning. I decided I might as well check a tea off my Steepster Shopping List, and this one has been on there longer than any other.
Mmm.
Preparation
I think perhaps I have been a bit too harsh on this tea.
It’s the best one in my cabinet in my parent’s home—and I have a feeling I’ll be drinking this stuff a lot, considering the amount of work I have to do before I leave.
Now, back out to work on my igloo outside.
