Ahhhh, hello, beautiful.
Grey day here, and I was stuck unable to work because of the loud noise of the shop vac in my apartment. So I enjoyed an afternoon of drinking my monsterful ‘tea-na colada’.
You should probably make this immediately.

Amazing! Decided to try mixing these two on a total whim and ended up loving it! All the creamy wonderful-ness of the CoEG, with a sweet caramel undertone. Definitely one I’ll make again!
Courtney sent me a bit of each of these, and I couldn’t decide which one I wanted more last night… so I mixed a little bit of spearmint in with the peppermint. It was amazing and delicious and soothing and I am a big fan.
I put some in the fridge, too, because I love mint water. Gah. I will be drinking this frequently.
I don’t know why I’m so hesitant to mix teas, like I’m gonna blow something up if it goes wrong. At worst it will taste terrible and I’ll have to toss it. Which I suppose is almost as bad.
So today I took the plunge. And it turned out really yummy! I used 2/3 milk oolong and 1/3 vanilla orchid, and it had the best of both worlds; rich and creamy with a hint of vanilla sweetness. Kinda like eating a spoonful of whipped cream from a cake. Mmm, whipped cream. I think I’ll have another s̶c̶o̶o̶p̶ cup!
It’s miserable outside and I don’t feel like leaving my apartment. So I made myself a piña colada… kind of. With tea instead of rum.
GAH. SO GOOD.
EDIT: I’m still drinking this. For the third steep, I added about a half-teaspoon of Buttered Rum. And now I am debating pouring in some vanilla vodka, hahahaha!
Given my love of these two individually, I knew I would love them mixed. Didn’t think they could get better? Try blending the two together!
Edit Upped this rating, the reason is obvious!! Yum!
Can’t resist this combination as a latte… and neither can my 2-year-old!
It’s an interesting mash up…I wanted to use the last of the Prairie Berry sample from my pal indigobloom but had, in past, found it to be a little lacking and mild…so I decided to give it a boost by mixing the last of it in with some of the new Organic Berry Good. I used about a tsp of each, though the latter tea was low in pu erh leaf, IMHO.
An interesting mash up…I am definitely getting a tart and juicy feeling on my my tongue, but I am not sure which tea is contributing that. It could be the Saskatoon berries from the Prairie Berry or the hibiscus from the Organic Berry Good. At the same time, there is a smooth tone surrounding that.
I’m not sure I would make this mix again, as this was just a way to use up the Prairie Berry, but it certainly isn’t bad. I’m not sure the various berries merry together perfectly, t be honest, but there are tart elements of both, so they’re not too bad together.
I think the milk and sugar helped contribute to mellow it out a bit.
This tea… it just feels right.
I’ve actually been scheming to blend these two teas for a while now, but for some reason the Toasted Marshmallow triggered something in my pregnant nose/taste-buds that made me abandon it after the first cup. However, when mixed with Cookie Dough both teas compliment each other perfectly! Like drinking liquid s’mores or macadamia nut cookies. And made as a latte? I’ve died and gone to tea heaven…
Sidenote: My 23-month-old likes this latte just as much as I do, good thing I made double so we can share.
This is one that I ordered with my first order and mostly because I like the name and thought hmm thats what I need! (big sucker for cute marketing!) any hoo! the taste well I wish it was a fruity but it was kinda minty and vix vapor rub kinda taste lol (no I have never ate vix vapor rub) its very tollerable tho. I should have not drank it so early! I didnt wanna do anything! lol def going to be a once in awile tea!
This knocked me right the frak out last night. I think next time I’ll skip the Vata addition, because it added a spicy note that was a little disconcerting when my primary objective was sweet sweet unconsciousness.
I…I’d love to review this tea, but I….
I gotta go sleep now. Night!
Needed something to lull me into sleep after roughly a day of consciousness and 6 hours of border-crossing Greyhound-taking stupidity.
Mother’s Little Helper, with its lovely Valerian content, is meant to help relax muscles and aid in the sleep cycle. The chamomile is meant to soothe. The Orange Blossom adds vanilla and a touch of sweetness to the overall flavour. Brews to a deep golden yellow. Tastes very strongly of orange and lemongrass, with hints of mint.
I might keep this blend in my cupboard after all.
Started off my day with this yesterday…..yum yum yum. My local Davids needs to get all of their teas back in stock, darn it! I keep trying to buy a tin of green mate, but they’ve been out of it for ages. Sadface.
The mate added an earthy note that only enhanced the deliciousness of the Goji Pop. It was a very lovely day to start my day.
Blegh. The flavors just do not play well together. Wish I hadn’t wasted the Chocolate Rocket on this.
Okay, time for a more in-depth review. I fell in love with this tea yesterday. The green mate adds a touch of earthiness to the blend, which works beautifully well for the rooibos, my wife said it cuts some of the sweetness, which is a definite plus in her book. It’s the beauty of that creamy orangey Orange Blossom with the caffeine boost of mate. It’s just about perfect, in my books, and something I plan to stock up on ASAP. Maybe I’ll get a tin of straight OB, and then a tin of half OB and half mate….yum yum yum!
Resteeped my wife’s blend this morning, maybe steeped it a little too long but it really woke me up. Delicious sweet orangey goodness with a leafy shot of energy. My wife is brilliant.
Mmmmmmmmmmmmm. I wanted to take tea to work today, and I wanted Orange Blossom desperately, but I also really need a tea with some boosting power on Saturdays, so I mixed these two….yum. Yum yum yum. I have a new love!
So I mixed this one based on the recommendation of someone here on Steepster (I forget who, sorry!). Let me tell you, this sucker worked to help me sleep. I fell asleep waiting for my wife to refill the humidifier. Best sleep I’ve had in a long while…I think this might be one I keep around for those rough nights where I can’t sleep. I don’t quite remember how it tasted, but I remember it wasn’t amazing and it wasn’t horrible. shrugs
1 tsp peppermint, 1/2 tsp spearmint per 8 ounces.
Makes me feel so good!
Enjoying hot & sweetened, but it’s veryyy good iced. Especially with a bit of fresh tarragon.
