Me and the bf got either food poisoning or the stomach flu, so I’m making a cup of this after being unable to move all morning/sick all night :( hope it gives me a bit of energy and helps my tummy

TheTeaFairy

hoping it helped your tummy feel better :-)

Thanks :) , it seemed to help a bit, it still prefers ginger ale though lol

So everyone in the house is getting the stomach flu… So this tea was required today. Hoping I don’t get it, it’s a darn nasty one. I steeped it for me and mom to try to protect us both, steeped for quite a while probably 8 or 9 mins. Max mint! See previous notes on this tea.

swallow a couple of small cloves of garlic, that’ll help to kill it. Also, eating apples helps with a stomach bug. The pectin seems to help sooth the gut, and if you can’t keep them down, at least it won’t taste bad. Slippery elm bark tea is also helpful.

mrs.stenhouse12

Thanks for the suggestions! I had a lot of garlic in spaghetti tonight so maybe I’ll have a bit more, if I can find small cloves that is :) and i’ll keep apples in mind too!

Drinking this again, I am finding this a nice mellow minty tea that is working for me in the morning, refreshing but not overpowering. Also enjoy that it makes me feel like I won’t get sick haha. See previous notes

Put this in my timolino today, hoping to ward off any cold bugs! A member in my group project was coughing and sick yesterday, so time to be proactive! Also, I find minty teas do ok in my travel mug. See previous notes on this tea.

Man oh man, tonight I am craving caffeine SOO BAD. A nice white tea would suffice..however, my stomach is still meh to caffeine lately, so I refrained…barely…and am drinking this tonight. It’s crazy windy and getting cold out, so might as well take some preventative measures!!

Still nice and minty and overall a decent cuppa :)

Tried this tea this morning, loved the minty dry smell, I love mint teas. However the smell was a lot more potent than the actual tea. To me, this tea tastes almost exactly like the one by Celestial Seasonings, Echinacea Complete Care. Must be an overlap in the ingredients…anyways, mint comes out strongly, with the rest of the herbs nice and mellow. Would feel excellent on a sore throat, and def will force this one on my bf when he is sick! As for me, caffeine doesn’t sit well most of the time, so I will probably take this to class a few days a week due to its caffeine-free ness.

Overall, a nice tea, but rather disappointed that it tasted so similar to a different tea I had had previously.

UPDATE: Now that is is cooled off, I am more impressed, as it is not going bitter (like the other one I tried did) and it almost is becoming more complex, it seems a few more flavors are coming out. Can’t really identify them, but I like it!

I love spicy food. After reading comments, I was looking forward to try this one.

It’s a great blend. It smells very fruity, but the taste is not too overwhelming. It does pack some heat, but in my opinion nothing anyone can’t handle. As others said, the taste is mostly mango, but you will feel the heat going down your throat. The feeling lasts for a few seconds only.

I’m looking for something spicier, but this one will certainly do for now. Perfect after a good steak or anything grilled on the BBQ. Recommended.

If and when you find “something spicier” let me know, a spicy tea sounds interesting. Dig the avatar btw.

Decided, after much debate to go check out the farmer’s market today. Parking lot was UTTER MADNESS, so I went to DT instead. Purchase some new Pure Vanilla and a tin to keep my swap swag in. Tin isn’t big enough, but that’s another story.
I get home and let the dogs out, sit down, check FB and find out there was a dog show at another building on the grounds and that was why it was so busy. I would have loved to check it out. Disappointed.
Let the dogs back in, the brown devil aka Rally Rims is COVERED in mud. She needs a bath which will take a wrestle. It’s a darn good thing I have a great cup of tea in my hand or I’d go mad… Wait, the other dog just yarfed. Can it be a new day now?

Having a lot of trouble sleeping lately, and now that it’s getting cooler in the evenings we’re trying tea to help. I agree with what others say – this really knocks you right out.

We’ve been drinking this blended with the now-discontinued Vata Ayurvedic, but we picked some more up to try just straight, and it’s a much more mellow blend than we anticipated. The flavour isn’t overwhelming, but it’s perfect for a nighttime tea. There’s also a sweet lemony flavour that gets lost in the bold spices of the ayurvedic when they’re blended. On its own, it wasn’t nearly as medicinal as I was expecting, though towards the bottom of the pot it was a bit more tart and acrid.

You can still get the Ayurvedic Vata online from David’s T.

I was sad to finish the last of this yesterday! I have lots of chocolate teas but this one is my absolute favourite. The raspberries add such a wonderful natural sweetness, and keep the chocolate from becoming overwhelming. I don’t often buy the same tea twice (I like to try as many different kinds as possible), but this is one I’ll be stocking up on again!

drank Rose Congou Green by DAVIDsTEA

As you could probably tell from my reviews of jasmine teas, I really enjoy perfumey, floral tea. If it smells like someone put a handful of petals in my cup and then poured hot water over it, I’m there. Rose Congou Green definitely delivers on the perfumey floraliness aspect, to the point where I can’t really detect the taste of green tea or rosehips. It’s just straight-up rose petals and that is fine by me.

I’ve been looking for a blueberry tea lately. They’re not my favourite teas in the world, but I thought I should have at least one in the cupboard if I’m ever in the mood.

This one was pretty good! It is quite sweet, but I find it has a better sweetness balance than the blueberry tea I had from teavana (blueberry bliss, a rooibos, whereas this one is a black tea). Blueberry bliss was a bit more tart and sweet while this tea is a bit more smooth. It kind of tastes like pie or waffles. Nom.

Final Verdict: Great blueberry tea! If you like blueberry tea. :)

Here’s a pic of the new addition to my stash today:

This one will also be a sipdown..haha man this tea is old! It was part of my first online DT order back in September 2012. Longgg time ago! I made this in my iced tea jug, the rest of the bag (probably..15-20g?) steeped in 195 degree water (half the jug full) for 3 mins then topped up with cold water and put in the fridge. It’s now chilling for a few hours. We will see how it tastes, it smells pretty good so I think it will be quite refreshing. This tea served me well, I just had too much of it (50g) to be able to get through it quickly. When I eventually restock, I will get about 20g just to have on hand. It is more of a summery tea to me, but today looks warm out, although it’s like – 30C lol. It’s all sunny and there’s a breeze..I can pretend lol. I will try to update about the flavor, but if I forget, here’s to you old tea, it’s been a splash! Lol, see previous notes.

Another oldie, dug out from my stash! I still quite enjoy this tea, for all its quirkiness. Salty and fresh, just like the ocean. And ginger in it, of course I like it heh. I need to have this more often. This is a very unique tea and an acquired taste, but I think it’s quite yum. See previous notes :)

Ahh, and once again, I am drinking this tea..it’s so strange, I am just growing to love it, and sometimes almost crave it? It must be because of the salty flavor in it, I LOVE salt! Anyways, please see previous tea note about this one. Have had it quite a bit this week! [Also going to up rating due to increased enjoyment of this tea!]

This tea freaked me out at first. The dry smell is pretty intense; salty, seaweed-y, and not very pleasing in general. However, as soon as I poured water on it, I smelled it, and to my surprise it smelled very minty! Complete 180. Now just waiting to taste it, will update once it is cooled.

Update: The taste—surprised me again! It tastes quite nice! Not as light as I’d like, and has a salty aftertaste on your lips. I think the salt weighs it down a bit. Minty though, very mild ginger, and seems to be relaxing. Just a bit disappointed in the aftertaste. Reminiscent of the ocean, yes. And I love the ocean.

Overall, a decent tea. Will possibly up rating after having a few cups. Smell is most deterring aspect. However, if you’re feeling adventurous, I’d give this a shot!

Incredible— like the most satisfying bite of pumpkin pie, warm in your mouth. It reminds me of some cold-weather treat with a delicious clove-y cinnamon-y crumble on top.

So when I originally bought this I bought it to be iced, but upon smelling it I felt it would be better hot. I’ve said before certain teas should only be served one way & this smelt like a hot tea to me.

So now that we have had a few cold/rainy days I have been brewing up some hot teas. This one smells spicy & a little fruity. Once steeped it tastes deliciously spicy. On occasion at the end of the sip I get a peppery taste. Over all I get a delicious blend of spices and…. pistachios. Oh delicious pistachios with spices? Indeed that is just what this tastes like. So good, a little on the sweet side, which I could do without, but it’s still a do-able tea for me.

Having this tea as I work on an assignment, and it’s just not quite as good as I remember it..maybe because I had an amazing Verdant tea before this one :P, don’t get me wrong, this is still a tasty cuppa, just not quite as good as it used to be. Decreasing rating a little bit.

Well having it after a verdant tea is surely one of the reasons :-)

Haha yeah I think that’s it for sure, this is still my second favorite white tea I think though :D

Just got this tea the other day, and am VERY impressed. Loved the smell right off the bat, like fresh blueberries with a hint of something floraly and fresh. The berry smell came out a bit more when water was added.

As for taste, I was a bit worried it might be too tart when steeped (have had that happen before with pure berry teas, tea bags mind you, but still..I was apprehensive). But thank goodness, this tea has made me unafraid of berries again! The white tea balanced the blueberries just enough that they weren’t overpowering! Just enough berry for me, not overdone, not artificial either. Love the white tea lightness..makes me feel like it’s a summer day here and not fall :)

Overall, a very soothing and refreshing tea. Will probably have to stock up on more, but as others have said, it’s a very light tea for packing, so my 50 g should go a long way!

ETA—Also will probably experiment with temperatures and steeping time to find the ideal one. It is pretty good by following the provided guidelines..but after reading other reviews, I’m feeling adventurous. :)
